Sounds like she translated "you look tired" to " you look like sh**".

Maybe she was feeling down on herself, and that just made her snap? Rather than reading it as true concern on your part? It happens...chin up, bud. There's no preparing for how the female mind works at any given moment. I *am* one, and I still confuse me.

Yea, I think this is an individual thing. It doesn't bother me at all when people tell me that. However, it doesn't bother me if my bf tells me my a$$ looks big or flat in jeans either. It's just the way it is, and its not insulting to me.

At least you know she is sensitive to that comment now though :lol:

My partner and I have been together for just over 19 years, I haven't become any better at communicating with him.

Still, some things never change, but our ability to accept the flaws in our loved ones can grow.
