some cold comfort here, in that being single and sad is STILL better than being married and miserable.

Something I had to have pointed out to me is sometimes shyness can be misinterpreted. If you are shy and feeling very self conscious you might hold yourself in a way that looks to others like you don't want to be approached.

Oddly enough, people never pick up on when I don't want to be approached.

For a girl, your looks dictate how you can act.

I know this one girl who is not particularly attractive but the real deal breaker is that she is moody and unpredictable.

You should post a picture (block out the face if you'd like) and we can give you some pointers on how to attract more male attention.

Simple truth is that ugly girls have to be unfailingly pleasant and guys are more inclined to settle with them.

I've seen plenty of very attractive men "punching below their weight" with a girl (5 or 6 on the looks scale) who is not as attractive as what he could pull but she is probably a lot less drama and a lot less "Game" to have than a girl who is 9 or a 10 on the looks scale would be.

Just be mindful if the guy seems like he doesn't want to be seen in public with you then could just be looking for a "pump and dump" to fill a dry spell.
You're definitely not alone. I'm 18 and I have yet to attract anybody of the opposite sex. I'll admit it sucks. I'm in the same situation you are. The few friends I have, have all had dating experience, and I have yet to even kiss a girl. I wish you luck and hope things go better for you. If anyone here cares to shed light on this, it would be wonderful as well. One of my biggest fears is that I'll be single for the rest of my life. So far, it looks like that's just what is going to happen.
Your only 18 and your already telling yourself that you will be alone all your life?

You have your whole life ahead of you to find that someone just becuse you havent found them yet doesent mean you wont find them. :) Cheer up your only 18 remember that.

Yeah true. I just find it depressing some days not having someone that you can share somethings with and such.
Know what I mean?

You seem to have a negative outlook on life, maybe you're even depressed.

I have been there too and the thing is. People don't want to get to know you then. Or date you. It is really unfair and it makes things worse. But you have to fix how you feel and be happy before people take a chance at you.
The good thing about this is that they are not rejecting or reacting badly to YOU, just the feeling you are having now. It's really ironic and unhelpful, but only when you are happy with your situation and your self does friends or bfs come. Just keep in mind that up until now nobody is rejecting you for being you ok...

Actually I was depressed at one point, but that was after my grandmother died and before I knew I had AS.
Now I've been stressed out, having anxeity attacks, and I guess depression over thing like school and one of my best friends and roommates having had her boyfriend sleeping over. She meant well for him, but it was hurting me and my other roommate. She feels horrible about it.
Both my roommates know I have AS and have been having issues emotionaly and mentaly due to school and what happened.
Goodness, its just hard being 21 and single and school and see other ppl having relationships around you and its tough.
I'm trying and I pray everyday for help and strength and so far God has given it to me, but at times I still feel very weak which is true to our human nature. *Sigh* I thought it would be fun to get a bride magizine to look at and one of my roommates so far has looked at it, but it makes me feel horrid at times knowing that isn't in my near future at this time.

I'm 22 and haven't had a single date. Never kissed a girl that wasn't my mom. I want a girlfriend but wow is it hard to find someone who accepts me for who I am. Most people that I'd get along with just hide away. It's unfortunate but true. I don't think I'll ever be able to date an NT, but how am I going to find an aspie?

I've given up on relationships for now. I once had an internet relationship. Eventually, I met her in real life(in a crowded cafe) and had a social phobia panic attack and became completely mute. We broke up soon afterward. Looking back, it's funny as hell though.

Anyways, I recommend finding some aspie guy on the internet, as there are more male aspies, and most of us spend a lot of time here and are single.

I had a regular girl friend before but I kind have fluked into it some of the people at the school I went to said "Fister finally got a girl" and that help me steer the conversation towards asking her out
