I had a 15 year old tell me that he wanted to marry me after only IMing me for a day. I freaked out and haven't messaged him since. :/

Metal, I am sure. Nice.

I am sure Erisad will find someone who is awesome after some time. She is just waiting to regain trust.

Emotions aren't logical, Asp-Z. She knows this; her brain tells her this. Her heart, however, tells her differently.

Not when you're seeing someone because they say so. If I'm not attracted to someone, I'm not going to enjoy myself while dating them. Sorry. I need to meet someone before being attracted to them. Sure, I appreciate good spelling and sentence structure but those things do not a good partner make. >.>

Made from adamantium. It's strong and pretty! ^_^

Yeah, the wounds just reopened this past weekend when my ex messaged me again for a booty call. :/

For troubles facing ye, Skype be the key...

Also, if you do start talking to someone online and decide you like each other, you can always make a trip and meet them.

I look like Dwayne Johnson.

Not really.

I don't have Skype or a webcam. Maybe when I get a new lappy. D:

But then what? If I have to get on a plane everytime I want to see the person, it's financially irresponsible. I'm a college student which means I'm poor. I have no license or car so I couldn't drive to see them either. It's not all about money with me but I do need to be able to support myself in order to survive. If a mate gets in the way of that, he's less attractive. Geeze, I sound like a b***h. D:

Know how you feel. One of the reasons why i dropped OKCupid, i found these great girls far away on the other side of the planet but realised that it ain't gonna happen.

Also, the only ones that wrote to me were desperate women with 6 kids that lived in the Philipines and a Muslim woman from northern Africa who said that Allah had guided her to me - too bad illiteracy seems to be a global problem, because i specifically wrote that i hated kids and was an staunch atheist, i didn't even have a picture up at the time. People ARE weird!

I just finished reading this entire thread and I find the whole thing a little creepy.

I remember a lady from a refugee camp in Africa finding me on WP and then sending me an e-mail asking me to give her my bank account number. Really? I'm pretty certain scamming Aspies is a one-way ticket to eternal damnation. :/

Yeah, if someone's illiterate, I'm not sure if I could stomach that. They don't need impeccable grammar and spelling 24/7 but at least put the effort in when trying to impress me. I'm a writing major, I'm finicky about that sort of thing. He doesn't need to be a professor or anything but just show a basic grasp of the language please. D:

No, just the marriage proposal. That's creepy.

You need to get your self on AIM more though.

Not necessarily.... it's all kind of unique take on the love and dating topic, but not in a cool, kinky sense; more in a "after reading this dyingofpoetry sees a long lonely road ahead" kind of sense.
