I'm just so sick and tired of not being wanted. I'm not aspiring to get married. I don't demand that I find the one. I just want SOMEONE in my life. I wasn't wanted in school. The people who I thought were my friends then won't have anything to do with me now. The couple of friends I do have are hours away. My only worth as a human being seems to be my work, the services I can give to companies as a researcher, a filmmaker. But when the job is done, I'm gone, no longer needed. They don't call to invite me for drinks after work.

I try to project confidence, to make eye contact and smile and ask a lot of questions and make the conversation about the other person. Every girl I've been out with or that I've pursued, I would've been SO WILLING to give a chance to, because they were all magnificent in some way. But none reciprocated. Is it so much to want to be wanted?

It sucks dude. But you just have to meet more girls.

Here's a tip. Don't bestow so much value on one girl. It will just hurt twice as much if you get burned. Instead of making a 150% effort with one girl, make a half arsed effort with 20.

Good tip IF you are able to meet 20 girls that easily, but meeting one girl is hard enough...

I don't enjoy belittling guys here. I just don't like seeing clueless young guys stumbling in the dark like this. Always whining, and always rejecting good advice. You have money which can get all the affection you need. Just remember emotions are fleeting.
