There are lots of these women locally on POF and the like. I tend to avoid them - they seem a) very insecure in many cases and b) have issues of their own irrespective of their children. It does freak me out quite a lot when they put more about their children on their page than about themselves though, which makes me worry because of two things: I'm not dating your children and it also encourages people who might harm her children.

wow, a list of at least 3 of the reasons why i should be more desperate or less desirable than other women. on the other hand... it isn't necessarily true. enough said. :D

i think it is a good idea for people to expand their horizons and think outside the box in terms of who they will date. but i wouldn't necessarily characterise certain women as easy pickings just due to weight, status as a parent, alcoholism, etc.

^Another non fail post by Hyperlexian who knows what's going on.

Yes, people listen to this BS and think if they seek out these categories then they can also treat that woman however they wish to treat her because she's desperate. Spare the BS.

Yeah but I just don't really see much examples of women doing that to men, do you? If so show me.

It's limiting and people are being fooled then find themselves in disappointing scenarios with implications that because someone belongs in this bracket they are all the same and if you choose this bracket, you won't have to give much love, respect or support because the person is supposed to just be grateful that you came in and took them out of the bracket.

I have ONLY seen this applied to women.

Go date Asian women. Asian women aren't like these greedy gold digger American women and they will worship you no matter what!

A guy who has had difficulties with some relationships with American woman will say, OH GOOD! She won't be like the last one who put me in my place all the time like an ungrateful b***h!

Asian woman is lured in. She leaves her Country, her norms, what she is comfortable with thinking this American man is going to be better to her and she may have career opportunities.

She wants a career. The man thinks...WTF? This is just like that American chick!

He refuses to clean because he thinks she should be so grateful for him coming in to save her from that place she called home but America depicts as a bad horrible place. She's getting upset and tells him to clean up his mess! The man thinks "WTF!" American woman! She's spoiled already?

So she is still struggling and he is still not getting it. This Asian woman is not a blow up doll house pet.

She is asked to leave.

The man thinks...well that was just ONE Asian woman. I bet she was just some strange Asian woman because according to the categories, they are meek, humble and should worship me! He chats it up online for the next Asian lady.

Same scenario repeats.

Okay so this guy had two American women prior to this experience. Instead of admitting that maybe he has a problem and isn't really taking the time to understand from a woman's point of view that he just got unlucky with two Asians. He sticks to the belief that all American women are gold diggers and horrible women for not obeying him.

He tries again. Except this time he discovers if he were to embrace maybe another category with American woman and Asian woman crossed out then that would lead him to Africa. He thinks, these women would treat me like I'm God! They just want food!

African woman gets tired of it too.

The man still doesn't get it.

Tries again.

oh wait there's a new list!

All of these types of women are desperate and will be grateful for my penis!

^Good story with a good moral.

But what does it have to do with Chronos' thread?

Well this list is a suggestion to those males that are just looking for a partner to fill a void and any female will make them happy. While I dont have anything against this males I believe that they ar enot the kind of guys you´d consider dating.

Also the children thing only applies if its under a certain age and needs to be taken care off since most males dont want to do someone elses duties. Your daughter is pretty much independent right now so most males wont care too much about her unless they are wanting to have children and you have enough with her.

Anyways several members have complimented your pictures recently and perhaps you needed a small dose of reality(Im a bit doubtfull about this last bit but you never know about this kind of things).

I believe this thread is meant to be some sort of satire and I doubt chronos would seriously post something like the op.

I am an American therefore was relaying real life drama scenarios from some men I once knew into the picture to give an example of how these idiotic categories that takes stabs at individuality comes into play.

There is no "Date only these men" categories for women. Women are way more spliced up than men are. If women had such a set criteria which would be just as equally misguided, only then would men be able to relate to what it personally feels like.

All I gotta say is, I refuse to date anyone who is gullible enough to fall for this form of social brainwashing unless of course that was just a trial in their life in which they've grown as a person and learned from. Otherwise, no thanks!

hmmmm....I thought I'd jump in here on this point since it is something I've given a lot of thought to. My most successful relationships have all been with women of Latin cultures (French, Spanish, Italian, some Eastern European countries, etc.). And it had nothing to do with gold-digging, with hoodwinking, with wanting a subservient partner. In fact, one of these women was a double major in physics and electrical engineering from Croatia, her brilliance far exceeded mine, and she'd have no trouble getting a green card to be in the US -- so our mutual interest in one another was in fact authentic.

No, the difference was that in these Latin culture, these women (and men) were all more emotionally expressive and open -- because of this, I could read the relationship cues more correctly, and they were more straightforward in a verbal way with their desires and even what pisses them off (which I appreciate!). We all know the stereotype of the 'latin lover' or how passionate Latin cultures are...this is quite true in my experience.

Now given that, where should I continue to pursue relationships? If dating is a numbers game, and it is, where do I increase my odds of finding someone I connect with?

edit: that's a rhetorical question.

hahahaha, are you serious? There is a lot of "don't date these men" or "don't this and this and this and this and this" categories for women in the world's cultures (which make it exactly sd "date only specific type of men"), you can find them everywhere on msn articles, magazines...etc

Easier pickings, then? i.e. More likely to give it up? Depends on how you approach them too I guess.

I think "respectfully" would go a long way. Is this really such a difficult concept?

spongy, you dunno which ones on the list i meant. but anyways i was just making a point that you can't categorise women that easily - assumptions have been made that a woman in one of those categories is ''any woman'' like she's some kind of leftovers. and... i gotta say... it's not like there's a category of men i wouldn't date, so you're incorrect with that. you don't know my dating experiences or who i went out with in the past. what do you mean by a dose of reality though?
