Aside from get older? Not really sure. I had a stint between 24 and 25 where I did this up top (and yes, for the record this is me in 2004):
To follow up on how well the shaved head and beard worked - it helped a little but I think for the mountain of residual neuropathic issues I had like PTSD, social anxiety, etc. I still wasn't able to make full use of it. Doing something like that can maybe give you a....20% boost? Then again I don't know how it work for other people necessarily. I know my dad complained nonstop that I was making myself look old, hard, etc. that I was doing a terrible thing to my looks, that when some of the neighbor girls saw me at the restaurant and their mom pointed me out they commented "That man couldn't possibly be him" (I took that as a big positive, my dad took it as a big negative). I can't say either in all honesty whether I was getting more or less positive/negative attention from women. It seemed like it stayed the same, that the negative was still the negative and positive was still just as off-point and brittle as it was previously. At least on the bright side I liked how I looked so that counted for something
