To be honest, that's not my reason. I guess I'm naive... I would never think that posting a picture would result in creepy PMs.

My reason for not using my pic as the avatar is simple: I would freak out if I had to see my pic next to all of my posts. I have nothing against my pictures (quite the contrary: I look better in pictures than in RL), I just think it would be too distracting. (For me, I mean).

1) I don't really see this place as a dating site,
2) Privacy and security (I have minor children), and
3) I's old. What if the *lack* of creepy PMs drove me to drink? :wink:
