I can't say I truly hate him. I still have feelings for him, not much but a little bit. I do harbour a lot of resentment by what he did to me during our relationship though.

I most certainly hope they are never, ever happy.

I used to, but then I realized I also had my part to play in ruining past relationships. So in my case, I don't feel bitter at all. I'd maybe apologize to them at some point if I met them again and just let the past slide.

More than anything, yes.

I don't hate either of my exes. In fact, I am friends with both of them.

My first one cheated on me, and for a few years afterwards, I would avoid any place associated with her, or where I would have a good chance of bumping into her. I still don't date NTs because of my experience with her, but as a Christian, I know I have to forgive people, so that's what I did.

My second one had no moral failings like my first one, we just weren't compatible.

Most of them; no. But one; yes, very much.

And with very good reason. There's plenty of awful s**t she did, but I'm over most of it. But there's one thing I don't think I'll ever get past.

She lied to me about being on birth control. She cheated with multiple guys. When she got pregnant, she waited 'til I was out of town, then took off and moved in with the guy who had the best job out of everyone she'd been sleeping with. When I got back, it was weeks before her family would tell me where she'd gone. The kid was born before anyone told me she'd gotten pregnant. And, not having thousands of dollars for a lawyer, there was nothing I could do about it.

So now there's a ten year old out there who might be mine, and I have to spend the rest of my life wondering.

I know I had flaws too in my relationships and I am not proud of how I acted in them either. So I can't say I was emotionally abused and that i was in one because then it would feel like I am playing the victim. Sometimes both people abuse each other in them so it's like they are both victims and bad guys. None of mine were ever psychical thank god.

Same here. Just emotional abuse, and me not knowing about myself at the time and frustration either side of the relationship.
This happened in 2 or 3. So it was fairly even. I used to be the embodiment of the "nice guy" syndrome years ago. They did bad things to me I did bad things to them. I appreciate not everyone has had the same luck though and probably have good reasons to be bitter, resentful, still feel hurt or traumatized by an ex. :)

I'm sure as hell beginning to hate him. In comparison to my relationship now, I'm realizing I was treated like garbage.

I used to play "games" with my last ex. Anything he didn't like was a game. In my first relationship anything he didn't like was "ret*d." Me always saying I wanted to break up or leave and then never doing it and then finally I did after the last straw. Me calling them names like stupid and being too honest because my last ex would always cry. Selfish behavior I would do. Plus when I get mad and someone is ignorant about something and refuses to learn it, I start to do things to them to drive them crazy. I used to do things to my last ex to drive him crazy and he called it all a game. Same as when I give him a taste of his own medicine, he called it a game. It was as if he didn't like to be shown about how something feels so he would learn and realize it.

See my "Rant about my ex" thread. ;) Do I hate her? I should... she's a horrible, evil woman. Not sure if I hate her or not, but it sure ain't pretty!

There is only one I have an issue with, and I don't hate him.

He hates me because I show pictures of injuries he gave me to other women (if I feel comfortable with her I even show scars, I've got some real beauts). And he probably thinks I'm doing it out of spite.

He's one of those wouldn't hurt a fly types, and so genial and social in public, but behind closed doors he's a very deeply disturbed person and. It was so hard to get people to believe that "such a nice guy" was doing what he was doing and that resulted in me staying a lot longer than I should've.
I'm not trying to make it so he's alone forever or anything, I feel like it's a good work to let women know if he hits them once it's not a fluke, it's the beginning and that she's not alone. I want them to know that someone will believe them. I don't want anyone to ever feel as trapped as I did.

I don't hate him, but I hate what he did, and I do what I can to make sure he will never do it again.

I realized it's healthier to move on, what's the point in being angry at someone that probably isn't thinking about you? They aren't suffering from that anger or bitterness, you are the only person who suffers from it so it's better to let go. It takes time to forgive or to accept responsibility but once you do, it will take a burden away from your shoulders.

I have 2 exes, neither of whom I hate. They are both decent guys who things just didn't work out with.

My most recent ex, yes, absolutely. Mostly because he's stalking me a year after I completely cut contact (I still get a txt about once a month, letters in my mailbox, banging on my door, taking a job where I used to work to get close to people I used to work with, etc.)

He was abusive when I was with him, even almost strangled me over a video game glitch, constantly drove home all the issues I have, and made a point of telling me when people didn't like me and why, and it was always on me, never them.

So yes, I hate him, I still get panic attacks when I hear from or about him, and it's been a year since I've seen him, but I think I'd prolly punch him if I did.....

He sounds like this sort of guy:
