Mmmmm. Prawns.

On a side note, I prefer the term "willing participants" :)

1) Do these opinions we uphold contribute to why we are single or taken?

I am quite certain of it.

Do peoples' opinions on love and dating and human equality change when they are in a happy relationship (or for some people...ANY relationship)?

I think it's difficult to relate to a group you have little experience with. I also think some people view their subjective, anecdotal experience in life as the pattern of all reality.

Quote:
Do you think some people just say things to please others?

Yes. They also say things just to upset other people.

Quote:
If your boyfriend or girlfriend knew you posted here would you really uphold the same opinions with such conviction?

Absolutely.

Quote:
Same as #4 but people in your life such as friends, families, support workers, colleagues.

No. I would get too much flak from other guys and there would be pressure, most likely in the form of humiliation, to conform and be quiet.

Are these opinions formed mostly out of one's ability to handle their experiences good and bad, or one's inability to cope with past failures letting them outweigh their successes?

My opinions simply strike me as observably correct.

I think many other opinions are formed mainly by things like music videos and reality shows.

Quote:
Are many of these opinions formed from an outsider's perspective i.e. someone fascinated with the idea of romance but with no experience or contact at all to fulfil this endeavour?

I can't speak to why others see things the way they do, but before I'd ever been in a serious relationship or had any close female friends or had sex, I had very unrealistic views on women. I put them on a pedestal and expected them to be divine, angelic creatures. When they inevitably turned out to be merely human, those expectations were dashed but instead of seeing them as human, I saw them as devils. Until I got to know them better.

In a way though (answered the questions) technically there isn't a right or wrong answer...
Logically it's really about how someone portrays their views on the questions asked.
Even if they answer all the questions that make them inadequate, it's still possible for them.
