I've been told I'm attractive but...

Me too, Salome. I was never thin. I have very bad skin, and that counteracts all of my other beauty imo.
why would you say something like that?
Because, it's all true. Well, I was skinny when I was 7 but that doesn't really count. Anyways, it doesn't matter how pretty my face is if it is covered in cystic acne and the resulting scabs and scars.

Yes, a woman can be fat and attractive if she has a very pretty face with no double chin and a waist that's smaller than her chest (hourglass figure), like Christina Hendricks.

How dare you.. Adele has a double chin and I think is one of the most beautiful celebrities alive!
Beyond that, what is Size 14-16... not familiar with female clothes sizes so I can't make an informed reply to the OP.

Adele is a UK size 16 which is a US size 12-14 so I'm at least one size bigger. Christina Hendricks is a US size 14. But then of course it depends on your hight and muscle mass as well as the fat.

I am by no means asking you to post a picture but I can't really work appearances out in my mind just by words.
But I will say this after further thought: if you've been told you're attractive, then you clearly can be "fat" and attractive. Why? Because you said someone said you're attractive therefore they are attracted to you.
If that makes sense..

Hang in there - the acne thing does clear up with age. Everyone's different, of course, so they'll also react differently to the medicated soaps n' stuff out there. I'd keep trying different ones until you find a winner. The one that worked for me isn't available on shelves, I had to get it from the pharmacist.
I'm not saying you're unattractive, not at all! But not having something pulling on your self-esteem will really help your confidence!
...and "FAT" is purely a subjective term... it can vary so wildly on where it is, how you carry it and what other people find attractive. The one pic I saw was not fat at all. AT. ALL.

Thank you BlueMax! Did you only see one? I thought there were several pics of me up there. Well anyhow I also think that there is a cultural difference. People in Sweden are quite thin so the tolerance for fat women is just not there.

Thanks, but mine is hormone related not age. My mom's face is almost as bad as mine right now, she is 45. Prescriptions were too much for my sensitive skin.

Do you take birth control pills? If not, you might want to give it a try. My face was a mess, and when I started taking the pill it became acne-free in less than 3 months. Today it's clean and smooth.

I don't believe it.
I know I used to be a super hottie when I was thinner. This because I would be hit on constantly, which was no fun by the way. Also I can look at the pictures from that time and be objective.
Anyhow these days I'm a UK size 18 and US 14-16. I have just started dating again and need to boost my self confidence. The point of this thread is to get some confirmation that I can be fat and attractive!

I am not sure what type of response you are looking for by posting this but I'm going to be honest, there are people who appreciate someone that is curvy and I'm sure that many men would find you attractive.
However because of health issues and underlying problems that obesity can cause, I would recommend you to read about correct nutrition, training methods and getting motivated on a daily basis. It's not good to have something that is pulling on your self esteem because you know you are selling yourself short of having a better body.

No, I asked my mom about it a few years ago and she freaked out.

My ex had it, and it was never a problem for me. She was the one that had the problem, I just wanted to make her happy.

Surely if you're an adult it is no longer her decision?

Agreed. Pity you can't have a sensible conversation with your mom without her head separating off her shoulders, hovering there, spinning in place and screaming like a banshee.
(I'm almost 40 and my mom still does the same... some people just can't handle anything beyond their safe little bubble.)

Prescription antibiotics and external facewashes never worked for me. Hormonal birth control also never worked for me (for acne, I mean). What worked, finally, was Accutane. I took it at age 31. My skin has been relatively clear since. I'm now 45 and no one ever guesses (all that oil ret*ds wrinkles!).
