I think some on here should give this a try.
Do a little research as to what life is like in the country where your friend lives. Understand there are those in this world with no chance of a halfway decent life, food is garbage (literally) shelter is a leaking shack. Their only hope is to get out using any means, and that also means many women are the whole family's hope because once she snags a man, she will send money home forever.
Just be careful, do not send money or give out personal information that could be used for credit etc.
I hope it works out for you but be wise.

I understand. Manila and Angles are kind of nappy , so long term no on those cities. I am thinking about davao, which is the safest, has a lot of economic growth, an dhas the cleanest wate rin south east asia. An dthe city is not too big (1.5 million), so no Manila crowding.

Someone mentioned Japan. I've read a few times that Japan is a bit of a magnet for AS people relocating around the world as their culture makes them so forgiving and polite to our mistakes, they just write them off as being because we're foreigners and accept us so much easier. There's also the anime & video game and computer/tech culture stuff that draws AS types there, too. I wouldn't mind visiting some year, but I'm not into Japanese pop culture stuff.
My best friend when I was 12 was from South Korea. Him and his family were pretty cool, as are most SK's I've met.
We've had Japanese, South Korean, & Taiwanese (and I think Chinese) foreign exchange students stay at our family home while I was growing up. They'd come for 2-6 weeks to take English classes and see the city. All of them were polite decent people, but the Japanese definitely fit their stereotype of being overly polite.
Philipino.. sure, there are some scammers out there, but by and large the Philipino community here is pretty good. A LOT of Philipino women come here as Nannies to look after kids & clean houses because it's one of the easier ways to immigrate here. The vast majority are fine and genuinely looking for a better life here for themselves and their families, but every once in a while there's a bad apple that ends up getting fired & deported for theft/fraud etc - but it's quite rare compared to how many positive examples there are here. Also, there are a LOT of them that come as Nurses to work in our hospitals and care homes as that's one area of our economy where we weren't turning out enough graduates of our own who choose to stay and work here vs. go to the USA for more money. They seem quite well suited to the job for the most part, and the worst I've heard is some groups of them forming social cliques at work and causing problems because of it - not such a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
The Asian culture I'd be most wary of is Vietnamese, as they're pretty well brought up to lie/cheat/steal/defraud and so forth. That's a part of why they've gained a reputation here for those things & violent crime.

I know in Canada there's a lot bigger problem with Asian crime and organized crime. My friend said in Canada when he went, to reverse roles between Asian and black people in America and that was Canada. It was all the Asian kids acting all "hard" and "gangster" and stuff and black people would be like "WHY HELLO THERE GOOD SIR." I think in USA, besides a bit in California and maybe Hawaii, they're not really well known for crime and having their own gangs and stuff. I know Canada is a lot more lenient for letting people in under refugee status, too. Like for example, until recently (or maybe this is still happening) if you went in for refugee status, and got denied, you could still stay in Canada until your court date for appealing your refugee thing. So lots of people would just claim refugee status and then just would never show up to court and stay in the country for years.
This is from Canada...

Warning it's a rap song with cursing and whatnot.
Anyway, my only beef with the Asians here is many seem very closed off/unapproachable to me. Their societies in general can be a bit xenophobic, too. Around here it's mostly Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese people. Some Koreans. Some Philippinos. Almost no Japanese.
I've not really tried talking to any girls online. I don't use Facebook or any social media, though. I was thinking of making an account on some of the international friend finder sites and language exchange sites and see wtf happens. My dad did the whole talk online to random girls from Philippines thing. When I was like 15 he wanted to hook me up with this like 18-19 year old PH girl to talk to on Friendster. Yes, Friendster. Looking back, it might have been fun. Maybe he thinks I'm gay or something. Oh well.

Maybe in whichever small area of Canada he visited.. this is a HUGE country, after all, bigger than the USA.
If I had to pick an ethnic culture that compares closest to the stereotypical black gangster culture around here I'd say a subset of immigrants from India fit the bill closer than any Oriental Asians.
Gangsters here come in all colours & cultural backgrounds, just like the people here. Even with immigrants from every corner of the globe, I'd say the majority of gangsters & organized criminals here are still white - especially since a lot of organized crime is run by biker gangs that are almost exclusively made up of white males. But we still have high ranking criminals from all over the place, Iran, China, India, various Asian countries, various European countries, Central American countries.. everywhere. There is no specific race or ethnicity that = criminal around here. That's what happens when you have a metro area as diverse as we do, it's a melting pot in every way, including crime.

I've noticed that too, if someone says "aspie" it's always meant to be a man until suggested otherwise
There are no mentions of aspie-males.
It wouldn't hurt to add to add which gender, if any, something is directed at.
And if anyone wants to bring up statistics, if the statistics still say we are a minority in a minority, that would be even MORE reasons to think about little things like that, to just make life a little better for everyone. Please?
I know I do the same thing, most recently in this thread, as I'm so aware the issue with getting tricked by wife-for-you-datingsites is a man-specific one that I didn't even think of clarifying it, even though I could have been clearer with talking about "lovelorn aspie-men" and not "aspies".
For example, yes, I am also aware of Japan being forgiving of odd people. If those odd people are men and white. Right now there's a person I've kind of fallen out of contact with living there who fits that description, and as far as I know he's doing rather well socially (and is also experiencing spring in Japan which I'm envious of)
That would not be the case for us aspies that are women, as the same culture that makes the japanese women act subservient to odd western men would despise us. So no, japan is not especially good for aspies - see what I did there?
And our chances of being used for visa's etc are not that high as there are more women doing that and directing it at men, and I think their cultures make it unlikely for those that are LGBT to come out (not that sexuality plays that big part of it...)
