Thanks Kinme, I completely agree with you.
Yesterday I had an eye opener while on skype with an old WoW female friend who gave me a lot of insight into this. She said guys get into a relationship hoping that the girl won't change. Girls get into a relationship hoping that the guy will change. Then the girl changes, but the guy doesn't. This happened to me. She changed and I just didn't fit in with her anymore. Just a shame she had to handle it so horribly and cause me so much pain, but on the other hand, as you said, if that's the person she really is, I wouldn't have wanted a relationship with her in the first place.

Ty for all the help,

Amon.

Yeah, no problem. Always here to help. In my personal experience, I haven't changed much in the relationship I'm in now. It's been pretty consistent. I don't think everyone is the same in that regard. Just have to meet the right person.

Yeah, but what my friend said is that her ex bf has had the same issue, where he was dating shut-in girls who at one point go out, realise they want to do that more often and then broke up with him since he didn't want to do that.

Anyways,

Went out yesterday, got way too wasted and ended up getting a bar girl's number, lol. Pretty much over my ex now, thanks to you and everyone else who helped. Thanks and remember that I'm always here to return the favour.

Cheers,

Amon.

Hi WP.

A few days ago I made a post about long distance relationships and stuff that went wrong in my relationship. It has in fact all gone pear shaped now and I am no longer in a relationship.
How do I properly deal with this? I asked some friends and my parents already, but I would like to get some advice from other aspies, who may be able to understand me better.
She was my first love, if that changes anything.

Cheers,

Amon.

once you experience real women you'll look back at what i just quoted and laugh, as i have personally done for myself in a similar situation

As someone who met her significant other through a long-distance relationship and met him in person and am still together (now living in the same area) I disagree with you. Lenny, you will find someone, whether it be online and you guys meet in person, or in person.

Yeah, everyone has been telling me this :)
Lots of people have actually said that in all the years they've spent on the internet, I'm the most amazing and intelligent person they've spoken too. They even claim I'm not ugly or fat, lol

Just out of interest, how long have you been together with your significant other?

Good sir....

last year I broke up with my girlfriend, just a few months shy of what would've been our 5th Anniversary....not to mention a mere few weeks before I moved.

When I announced it on Facebook....I did not under any circumstances anticipate the outpouring of support I received from the people in my life.

My friends were there for me exactly when I needed to vent, and get a lot of s**t off of my chest; my co-workers were too.

And I spent months thinking about the relationship, looking back on various elements differently with the new information I'd had.

What I can tell you was that my breakup gave me a world of closure over a very poor dating history record, and I came to realize all the good that came from my relationship, and I learned about myself from the whole experience too.

If you want more details, just let me know; I'll be happy to share.
