Yes, I don't know why it's so.

I worked for a Corporate Advisor, then at GE Capital :evil: , then a stockbroker. (here in Australia) there are mostly women in admin/support type roles. The brokers/dealers/originators (I was mostly in leasing, now property) was male dominated, but the "back room" was nearly all women, mostly single, all looking for men.

Insurance is probably the same.

We have a "happy hour" (drinks Friday afternoon - not at GE :evil: , but elsewhere) and girls from Soc Gen & BankWest would regularly drop in for a drink and chat up the single guys. In leasing (can't say about other areas), you get to know the operators and credit managers of other institutions.
