Here's my gay perspective:

I have light chest/body hair. It is what it is. If someone's not attracted to it, it is what it is, so be it.

Personally, I'm not attracted chest/body hair. I also don't like shaved/waxed body hair. Prefer naturally hairless chest/skin. It is what it is.

Meanwhile, one of my close friends is ONLY attracted to guys with a lot of chest/body hair - total polar opposite. It is what it is for him, too.

Same kind of thing goes for beards. I currently have a full beard that I grew out for my Halloween costume last October and have kept since. Beards are also very polarizing, some love them, others hate them. Again, personally, I am not attracted to facial hair on another guy at all. But the same friend I referenced above ONLY likes guys with beards.

Thing is, there IS no standard, only personal preference or natural attraction vs. a choice at all. Basically, you just need to find someone who's attracted to you & it's as simple as that.

My husband is very hairy and at first I didn't like it but he was also the first guy I ever dated with chest hair except for the Pharo boy and I never saw him without a shirt except for a photo his mother had of her and her teenage kids at a swimming pool, and we never dated long enough for me to see him without his shirt any other way.

Back in the 70s it was in style for a guy to have chest hair but I always thought that look with the shiney shirt halfway unbuttoned with all the necklaces was kind of cheesy. Plus back then the guys I dated werent really old enough to have much chest hair. In the 80s Tom Selleck as Magnum PI made chest hair and mustaches in style. My husband had both. By the 90s that whole skinny/grunge/heroin chic loom was inand those guys either didn't have it or shaved or waxed it. I think now the thing that is in style is a little hair, but not too much.

If I were you I'd go to a salon and get manscaped. They wax it all off except a little in the center and then a goody frail going down from the belly button. Most girls I know do like a goody trail even if the guy doesn't have any chest hair. I'm sure they have different styles that you can choose from and that way you will have enough hair to please the girls who like it and not too much to gross out the ones who don't.

Also aren't you Lebanese and live in Lebanon and most Lebanese guys do have a good bit of chest hair? What is the style where you live? I'd go with what seems to be the most popular style, unless you have a personal preference for it and in that case I'd keep it however you like it.

I do know some guys who are friends with my kids who shave everything. They talk about it too. Straight guys. They shave chest, underarms, back if they have that, pubes, and even legs. Arms are about the only thing that isn't commonly shaved. I don't think I would like that at all but some girls do obviously.

Check out some salons and see what they suggest. It will always grow back so if you don't like it, just wait a month.

To generalize with reckless abandon, I've mainly been with chubby girls/BBW, and they largely like/are fine with my Sasquatch chest.

It seems to be different on the other side of the aisle, however.

My fantasy of a one-in-a-million curvy, gorgeous nerd might mind.

Guess I'm somewhere between sasquatch & tinkerbell on that scale...

Still though, most people know that Lebanese guys are hairy usually so they may expect it.

I'd still try the waxing and leave it somewhere in the middle.
