So I should try again & ask him 'how are you? Has it been raining over there?' ALOT of the times, I don't want to be a quitter, I didn't guit with my weight loss & I lost 60 lbs.

Avoid the vague and generic. Talk about something which they specifically mention in their profile.
Something like "Has it been raining over there?" is only appropriate if they have something like "It's a drought here" in their profile. Similarly only mention the weight loss thing if they mention they are looking to lose weight.

Whilst men on dating sites don't tend to receive many messages a very high proportion of what the do get is spam.
It's also often possible for anyone to apply filters for things like match level and distance.

Thanks. I'm very interested in 2 men now, I'm talking to other men too. I wrote to the second guy about baseball, he talked about baseball in his profile, I said I like it too.

I played baseball in school then after school, I continue to play baseball, I was very good at it, I hit a home run lots of times :D :P

I do like this one guy the most, I did message him, I said hi, he didn't write back. I don't understand why guys like women on dating sites, but won't talk to them? We are 83% match.

I wouldn't read too much into it: I had women who were 98% a match ignore me repeatedly. I think that whole % is a load of BS anyway. The bottom line is that countless women flaked on me out of the blue AFTER they messaged me. Don't try too hard to understand it: you never will

What position do you play, Kitty?

You should try to get into a softball league.

They have lots of those. You can definitely meet men in those leagues.

I don't know for some reason you're cute Kitty. Maybe next person can tell the reason.

I think she's really cute.

I don't see how any man could refuse her.

I messaged both guys again, the first one, I wrote, how are you? I like your profile. The second guy, I wrote about baseball. I read more of the second guy profile, I read the questions okcupid ask. One asked 'are you more attracted to virgins' And he don't want an overweight person & I'm a little fat, plus he wants children someday, he didn't even pressed like on my profile, I'm probably not his type. And after reading those questions, I changed my mind about him, it wouldn't work out. He did say age doesn't matter on one of the questions. The first guy pressed like on my profile, but won't talk to me. For all I know, men or alot of men probably think my pictures are VERY OLD, cuz of my age. I found out men need to pay to see women's likes on their profile.

Thanks Kraftie! I played catcher (I guess that an outfield, right?) and I hit the ball too, I have a good arm, I can't run anymore.

Nope....catcher is definitely not the "outfield." Catcher is behind the plate.

The outfield is the area beyond the bases, all the way back to the fences (if there are fences).

You should really join a softball league. Just don't tell them that the catcher plays in the outfield  That would probably be better than meeting guys through dating sites.

I would love to play softball, but I can't run anymore & I shouldn't be out in the sun.

I never going found a guy.

Yes, I think so, not sure. Some men wrote on their profiles that they can't see women likes.

Why can't you run? You've just lost 60 pounds.

I would try walking a couple of miles a day, increasing the speed slightly each week.

And wear sunscreen.

Not unless it's a mutual like otherwise we have to pay the. 20-40'a month for alist. Women don't have to? If so then that pisses me off as it would sound like a giant scam against men.

Men can see likes if it mutual, only they can like a woman? Only women can see likes? That not fair. If a guy like me then shouldn't he want to talk to me? We both like each other.

Okcupid isn't the only dating site that discriminates against men like this features-wise, they know well that men are WAY more active and *cough* desperate on these sites, so they will squeeze cash from them.

Also it is for their interest to encourage female users to stay there by giving them free extra features, because they tend to quit or to delete their accounts much faster (they get fed up by creeps + can find a bf much faster than us guys), and because there are way less active female users on dating sites (don't believe their announced stats about sex ratios, it's all lies that includes scams and inactive users) - ie. seeing likes, it would make them stay longer and even making it longer for them to find a boyfriend (Seeing likes ==> more choices for the women==> more time needed to find a bf from okc).

Smart bastards....
