Why do girls do this?
There are a number of posts on this website as to why dating sites/apps might not be the most ideal place to try to meet a mate. I would focus on meeting people through friends, family, or groups.
My friends are all male save for one, live too far away to see often, and all of them save for one don't know any females anyway.
My family are, in short, stereotypical rednecks/low-lifes, and that's putting it nicely. I don't need to go into detail.
Everyone I meet through them, no matter what age/gender, are also rednecks/white trash types.
Typically the girls I meet through them anywhere close to my age or early 20s are unhygienic, in poor health (smokers, etc.) unambitious, young single mothers barely 18, and generally aren't interested in my type anyway, but want some huntin, fishin, hard liquor drinkin' a-høle which they KNOW and admit is trouble and no good for her because she's been used by such guys in the past (and they're typically the one's who ran off when she got pregnant), yet they always go crawling back to them.
I am very different from my family and anyone and everyone I meet through them. I am more ambitious and want to do my best to live a normal life and actually make something of myself.
I'd love to date a girl who is similar to me - from a rough background/poor/mentally disabled/etc. but they are EXTREMELY rare and every girl I meet who is this way has been dragged down by her family too much (which is what I've had the strength to resist), and tends to be extremely bitter, aggressive, unfriendly, hopeless and has given up and 'accepted her fate' so to speak, rather than ever aiming for more.
The one girl I've ever met in my life who HASN'T been dragged down by her family and still does want to make something of herself like I do? Yeah, I had a crush on her, and she even liked me back, but she moved far away and I only got back in touch with her last year, and she was over me by then (and I'm over her now).
I try to date 'normal' girls who are middle-class and such, but we share so little experiences.
My acquaintances in high school were N.T. and the types who had their parents buy them their own cars for their 16ths and let mommy and daddy pay for their university studies.
I also have something of a prejudice against people much more 'privileged' than I am, anyway. So it probably wouldn't work.
I'm the third person in my entire family to have ever graduated high school, and most of my family have a lot less excuses than I do, because I've come from the same background as most of them and a lot of them don't even have mental disorders or setbacks aside from lower-socioeconomic background and simple disinterest in studying.
Groups? Hmmmm...I'm getting onto that.
Ok, by ambitious I simply mean striving for more than what she's been born into. That is if she has a family high in poverty, substance abuse, untreated mental illness, criminal/dangerous family members, disease/health issues, etc. she works hard to be none of these things, just like I do.
It's not like I don't give girls with this sort of background (the same background as me) a chance, because I do.
I had a crush on one.
I also had a crush on this one girl with a messed up home-life and she openly wasn't afraid to admit how bitter, hateful and intolerant she is towards most people. She was also slightly aggressive, which I feel she was only holding back. She would openly threaten to stab people who annoyed her. Not sure if she was 'just joking' or not.
My ex-gf had BPD, severe depression, traumatic life and from low-socioeconomic background.
I've been acquaintances with actual male sociopaths who weren't afraid to confide in me and reveal the fact they feel no emotions aside from anger and constantly have intrusive thoughts of wanting to hurt or kill people. Yeah...
What matters to me is I am physically attracted to her, which is extremely easy so long as she looks like the average 18-25 year old once I turn 18, and we have chemistry/I like her personality, and she is obviously not mean/cruel/aggressive, and she doesn't end up like her messed-up family.
My family already practically drag me down, I can't have my own girlfriend doing this too. I require someone who supports and uplifts me.
She can be jobless, degreeless and have maybe depression/anxiety/some sort of disability, but can't be an absolute low-life like most of my family who only drag me down. I'd prefer she take care of her health and appearance. I'd prefer she is warm and loving towards me rather than controlling and aggressive, like my ex and the other girl I crushed on.
I try my best to be and look healthy, well-groomed and well-dressed. I am fit and live a healthy lifestyle. I have hobbies and dedicate myself to them. I want to be educationally and financially as successful as I can despite the conditions I've been born into. I try me best to be friendly, confident and social, not an aggressive recluse. I'm doing all sorts of things to be mentally healthy. An opposite sex version of myself is all I ask for, and I'm flexible enough to want even less than that, but not too much less.
