Yep it’s definitely something I could improve on, I’m a constant WIP of necessary improvements.

I know the advice wasn't directed at me, but I think that I too should probably try that, too... not with guys I want a romantical relationship with, but with people I need to interract with at work and such. But how does one do that? Any specific advice?
For work conversations I only talk about work (never gossip about work colleagues, only the tasks to be completed). I've tried loads of different ways to blend in socially but people will usually pick up on some inconsistency. It's easier to be viewed as someone who loves their work, which I do, I'm still being myself but a guarded version.
