They do friendzone! I have a male friend that I got feelings for once which were thankfully only temporary but I brought it up with him and he didn't care lol. We misunderstand each other too much anyway so it's better to keep it a shallow friendship. And I have dated him for a while in the past but we can still keep it platonic and friendly. I know i'd never wanna date him again because he's not what I would consider boyfriend material and i've been hurt in the past.
