If I have learnt one thing it's that people are entitled to have whatever standars they like and you are not entitled to a relationship with them.

I'm just suggesting guys be realistic or settle for Hand Solo for your sex life.

Be respectful of your partner and be responsible for your choices.

Don't expect partners to have values that you do not practice.

Of course. You should never expect things from a partner that you cannot provide yourself. In fact, I don't think you should expect anything from a partner. A relationship should be built by without expectations and requirements. A loving partner will then fulfill them without any demand because they like you.

Who are you to say that they either lower their standards or they will masturbate for the rest of their lifes?
And no, people are entitled to expect whatever they like from a partner, you don't make the rules.

Sure, and I'm "entitled" to ditch people that expect or require things. I don't want love to be like a financial transaction.

LOL you don't get it. If you're guy with past sexual partners, it is asinine to expect your next partner to be a virgin. What are you bringing to the table that she would want? I'm against sexual double standards.

We have a right to expect honesty from a partner.

Nobody mentioned money so why the ATM comment?

You nailed it yourself. What do you bring to the table and ATM. It's a view that relationships are like ATMs. You sell things (= bring to the table) and expect things in return ( = financial transactions).

A relationship needs to be mutually beneficial. Otherwise why have a relationship? Just be alone.

Strongly disagree. That's just an NT argument based on a desire for finding partners that are socially beneficial. A real relationship for me is based on romance, passion, compatibility and being soulmates. With that base, both parties will support each other the best they can without any requirements. Besides, requirements and expectations work pretty bad for NDs when many dislike authority and being commanded.

We may see it differently but that's ok. No worries. It's always fun to talk with others. Thanks

It's his life, so he has every right to expect that, just like a woman who doesn't like his opinion has the right to say no to him. People's opinions can and do change. If someone were to become religious, he or she would obviously expect their partner to share their religious views with them, regardless of who they were or how they acted in the past. And, again, if she doesn't like that she has every right to say no.

Expect it all you want and end up alone possibly as virgins often prefer other virgins.

People are free to choose whom they want....but anyone see the hypocrisy of requiring a status you don't even have?

This isn't about religion. Those types generally find each other. I'm dealing with the general population of men who equate sexual experience in a woman as a negative.

So if a woman is looking for a husband who can support a family someday, I should give her the boot because I make more than she does. I mean, who has time for that kind of hypocrisy?

You mean like some basement-dwelling neckbeard who has never held a full-time job for more than a few days refusing to even give a second glance to a woman whom he thinks is even slightly less attractive than a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model?

Right, Fnord.

Adam, don't be ridiculous. You are fully aware of the sexual double standards for women. We are talking about sex....not money. That can be a different thread...and a fun topic to kick around.

Right, we wouldn't want to introduce a hint of logic to your debate, would we? Point out your own double standard? It's so much easier when we can just point fingers at men and yell "SEXIST!"
