Do ladies like long beards (on men:))?
(I didn't vote in the poll, the usage of "on men" just struck me as funny. Sorry Pepe. lol)
It was meant to be funny.
I prefer my women to be clean-shaven, btw.

I assumed so. I just wanted to clarify that I didn't vote (since I'm male) and that I was just being humorous.

I haven't voted either,
Since I am a male,
The last time I checked.
They are not what make one hot or not.
This could explain why I have a full head of hair:
And, if you hadn't noticed, "Pepe le Pew" doesn't actually have any gonads, nor pants (what's with that?

Firstly, I would like to point out that I made this poll specifically for GI. Hence my posting his picture here.
Even though beards have become fashionable once again, I believe most women would prefer it well trimmed, rather than a ZZ Top or bikie length.
Well if this poll was made specifically for me, guess I'd better respond.
The bottom line for me is this. Having had a short beard, a medium-long beard and a long beard, I haven't noticed the length of my facial hair make any significant difference in how successful I've been with women. In fact, if I had to choose the facial hair style where I'd had the most success with women, I'd say it was the medium-long beard, though I wouldn't confidently assert that there's a correlation there.
In any case, I prefer having the long beard. I see it as part of my identity, and if that's going to turn some women off me, then they were never going to gel with me anyway, because even if I trimmed my beard down now, it'd only be a matter of time before I grew it long again.
I'm not convinced that having a long beard is going to be the difference between being able to get a girlfriend and not being able to. I rocked the short beard for many years, and I wasn't any closer to getting a girlfriend then than I am now, so if I'm going to struggle to get a girlfriend anyway, I might as well at least look how I want to look.
Lastly, I acknowledge that the long beard isn't the most popular look as far as women are concerned, but there are women who like the long beard look, and there are those who are indifferent towards it/tolerant of it. If a long beard really was a death sentence for one's dating life, then one would think that most men with long beards wouldn't ever be able to get girlfriends at all, and I just don't think that's true.

I bet those who voted did vote based on your pic.
You are close to it, with trimming you can get it.

In my defense, I hadn't styled my beard in either of those pics, so it looks a bit more controlled when I style it. I doubt it'll make a difference to your statement, but here's my beard a bit more styled.

In any case, I get what you're saying in that that style and length of beard might have a bit more broad appeal than mine, and I'll keep that in mind. I like my beard more or less how it is at the moment though, so for me to consider making too much of a change to it, I'd have to be sold on the idea that it was actually going to be the difference between being able to get a girlfriend or not.
I'm not really meeting new women at all at the moment, and I don't have any real female friends, so I should probably figure out how to start meeting and making the acquaintance of women to actually give myself a chance before concluding that my beard the way it is is an obstacle.

I suspect it may simply have been a coincidence.
We are playing the odds, with the ladies.
Anything we can do to make us more attractive, we should.
Based on the small poll, and my own personal experience, I think you would improve the odds if you trimmed
Your life,
Your choice.
Aren't you forgetting something?
You were quite overweight, at some point.
I don't know if it was a recent thing, or not, but most *people* find a slimmer person more attractive.
Not all, but most, based on my experience.
I understand you not wanting to modify your behaviour away from the person you want to be,
But is something as insignificant as beard length really that important?
If women found you more attractive with a nicely trimmed beard, wouldn't that compromise be worth it?
You don't have to change your personality/strength simply by trimming your hair.
Wot, are you "Samson", where you lose your power if some of your hair is cut off?
Look at the poll results. At this point, 7 women, and one man voting for his partner say they are not keen on long beards. One voted for the longer beard.
You don't have to be Einstein to realise where your odds are better.
Keep in mind, initially, in most situations where you can see a person, visual attractiveness/interest counts.
That is why it is called "attractiveness".
Later on in the relationship, personalities/characteristics become more important.
But you have to attract someone first.
Read what I said above.

Trim the beard!! !

And this. When a person spots a "fellow socially awkward person/nerd/geekwhatever takes their fancy", are they telepathic and immediately able to judge their personality instantly from across the room...

I tend to agree on the difficulty of initial attraction.... almost every bf I had was clean shaven when we got together. And he grew a beard at some point during our relationship. I've never found the beards attractive, but I've tolerated them since I was already dating the guy
