Limerence is not quite that....but sort of close.

Limerence is a more tolerant and pleasant sort of "obsession." Jackie of the Little Rascals could have taken it too far if it was allowed.

It's more thought than action-oriented. There's a lot of musing over a person, rather than making enemies with others who like that person.
I'm thinking of Steve Urkel from the show Family Matters. Steve was madly in love with Laura but Steve wanted her to be happy even if it wasn't with him. In one ep there was a dance coming up & Laura really wanted a specif guy to ask her to go but the guy didn't think to ask her since she rejected more than a few guys already & Laura did not tell or ask him. (that's why I'm not comparable with NT girls cuz they are not direct) Steve told the guy to ask her. In another ep there was another dance coming up & a tough bully really wanted to go with Laura but she was not interested in him. The bully threatened the guy who was gonna go with Laura & the bully also threatened all the other guys so Laura would be forced to go with Steve or go alone. Steve challenged the bully to a fight to defend Laura's honer despite the fact that Steve really wanted to go with her & that Steve was a dork/nerd/geek who could not fight at all & the bully was tough & could very easily pound Steve to a pulp.
Is that the kind of thing your talking about krafti :?:

Um...

There have been a number of these threads about semantics. I'm not enjoying the social experiment aspect of this. Count me out on compartmentalized love plz.

Not everyone lives by a bunch of ambiguous rules & definitions.
