They were lesbians. No rejection there. You didn't even ask them in the first place and found out ahead of time, meaning you don't even have to waste any time. So, move on, remain friends with these lesbian females, but look elsewhere for romantic relationships.

I make the first move and initiate contact with women I am attracted to, like the guy is supposed to do, but the correspondence falls apart after a couple of weeks, or I get turned down due to distance. (Keep in mind that I am limiting myself to other Aspies, and this contact is done online).
