I dated a couple of guys straight from there! One of them I'm very good friends with now. I changed my profile though because some guy on there wouldn't leave me alone, and I haven't looked since.

Okay, now here's another question:

If so few of the established membership of WP (even just among those that are single and looking for relationships) are using Aspie Affection, why do we redirect all newcomers that post a "so-and-so year old aspie looking for..." thread to that site? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

Its called getting rid of the competition

It also means that I can't make a thread here saying I'm looking for someone from NJ in the 18-25 range...

Well it's not like it would matter because there are no women on this forum in the 18-25 age range that I could reach in a 2-3 hour drive...

"We" don't do that, only some people do. In fact, I get quite pissed when I see people saying that. I don't always have the time to post my reasons for avoiding AspieAffection.com but, they're listed on page one of this thread. Maybe I'll keep them handy for a quick copy-and-paste next time.

And yes, "getting rid of the competition" is exactly what I thought was happening when Postperson kept protesting Metalwolf's thread and not threads posted by males.

i'd have to put up an unrealistically hot picture of me and create a misleading online personality in order for the women on aspieaffection to be interested in me. i wish to remain myself. if you do not like me for who i am, i am not going to pretend to be someone else.

I actually toyed with the idea for registering, but decided against it when I saw only two women in my state. And the male to female ratio is what.....4 to 1? Of course, that could also be to Aspie men outnumbering Aspie women.
