What type of man do you not want?
Honestly girls, what are the bad heights?
For me the height is not so important but it is nice for them to have a bit of strength and muscle tone.

As for ambition, I like them to have a little drive but not too much because they have to be fun.
I am not really so worried about money, I dont want someone who sits on the couch all day but I dont want someone so obsessed with their career that you never see them or they never take time out to see family or friends.
I dont really see career as the most central thing in life, I value personal time far more.

Less than 5' would feel weird, I think. When I was younger, I thought I wouldn't want to date anyone over 6' because the height difference would be awkward (I'm 5'4"), but I don't think so anymore. I do still think being much more than a foot taller than me would be awkward, though, so I suppose anything less than 5' or about 6'6"+ are "bad heights" to me.
Yes we all have preferences in these things, but are height issues a "deal breaker"?
I think that's the essential question.
I think in the case of a man who was significantly shorter than the woman, the answer would be yes, not nearly as often in respect to a guy who was taller than them in the exact same degree.

It depends on the build of the people involved. If the woman was very fine-boned and the guy is 6"3 and really heavy boned and muscular, he could squash her. So too tall can be a problem too if the woman is really small or finely built.

Yeah, I get the idea.
Another way I'll never fit in. Cavemen rule.
If one girl's opinion counts for anything, I prefer gentle as I have really sensitive skin and I am small and petite and I break easily... so dont worry, there are girls out there who like all sorts of men.
Maybe, but you only have to read what's being said about safe words to see what I'm getting at.
I can be rough if it's wanted, but it goes against all my instincts. Then I get girls complaining I'm not "macho" or "alpha" enough.
These are the ones who've seen through the one about wanting a guy who's taller than they are, presumably so they can be physically dominated.
Not being the dominating type doesn't get you very far. It's all about who can wield the biggest stick, not what they can do with things besides the stick!
Sure, there are exceptions, but I'm betting you are in California or New Zealand or somewhere!
If you want some gentle guy loving non slu*ty woman, don't come to NZ, they are the worst.
Ambition and success aren't just measured by career and monetary wealth. I consider my husband ambitious and successful, but we are by no means wealthy.
He is one of the big wigs in the company he works for, though.

I usually like taller than 6 foot but once I really liked a guy my height who was quite large built and strong.
I'm not that picky about looks I tend to go for slightly overweight guys, I'd proabably do the fattie in my avatar as long as he took that cross off.

Just kick them in the balls, hard - works great!
Now what's your next excuse?
Last time I kicked a guy in the balls in self defence his mates pitched in to me. Four guys, all bigger than me. Fair fight. Not.
This is easy enough for you at 6'1", but not quite as easy for me at 5'4".
And yes, to a lot of women, height does matter. They think there's something wrong with kissing a guy shorter than they are. Just look at some of the posts on here. Sure, it's not all of them, but the exceptions have the pick of the guys.
Then you have the women who want it rough in bed, and then wonder why the same guy is beating them up during the day. Let me spell it out. If he has a rough mentality, the kind that is rough in bed and rough, one way or another, at work (the usual way to "success"), then he has a rough mentality. That rough mentality is going to go over into other areas of life as well.
And, contrary to the accusations on another thread, this isn't misogyny. It's misanthropy. My disgust for my species doesn't have gender boundaries.

I come from teh Jews.... men not exactly known for height. My male family members seem to be marrying off without issue despite their height challenges.
Whether a guy can kick someone else's butt doesn't really cross my mind. I would prefer friends & partners who can resolve a conflict through words.
One of the things I can do is write. Apparently I'm pretty good at it.
In my experience, being able to communicate in writing doesn't get you anywhere. I've been helping a vulnerable (registered blind) friend take back what was hers from three different companies. Do they take any notice? No. They ignore letters, they lie, and they continue to sc**w my friend over.
Women want and expect too much out of a guy nowadays. They seem to expect a man to be nearly perfect and fit in every aspect that they so desire. That's why they don't have successful relationships and marriages. Some women just flat out want too much out of a guy, it's like they're looking for their dream man ken barbie doll or something. Your not gonna find him.
I think it's reasonable to expect A relationship that's free of abuse, has a mutual love, respect, responsibility, common sense and maturity but I'm reading things here like "I dont want a guy that doesnt like horror movies", i must say you have pretty low standards if you pick your guy's based on what genre of film they watch... wow.
It's also foolish to expect a relationship that is 100% void of negativity, with ALL relationships there will be ups and downs. There's no getting around that.
This is true. When saying I want someone who isn't negative I mean that I'd rather be with someone who tried to look on the bright side of situations and who has a positive attitude to life.
It's like Gabriel Oak in Far From the Madding Crowd. He lost everything - he could have said "Oh everything is gone, I am ruined" and just sat about moping, but instead he reacted by saying "well at least I'm not married, that's something to be thankful for" and then moved on and went to find work and put his life back together.

I tend to see a lot of this, especially in online dating sites, it's like there's this expectation that you can just custom-order someone and they will appear on your doorstep like you're shopping on Amazon or something.
Of course this is their right, but they should realize that with this attitude they are probably going to be alone for quite a while and they are probably going to be disappointed when they finally find someone "worthy" of them - chances are there's something "wrong" with them once they get the wrapping off...
I'm sure theres a woman out there for me who doesn't care that i'm not a CEO and likes me for being kind, non-abusive and intelligent. Hey she might not even care that i don't have a job. Since she'll have her own money.
I think NT and AS women appear to be pretty similar in what they want from a partner. Probably why so many of them have NT boyfriends.

Or, more likely, being around her will motivate you to work because the conversations will open your mind to new ideas and options and her presence and support will acquaint you with confidence you didn't realize you had on your own. She may inspire you to improve yourself ... but in a way that you truly desire to be improved, not changed to fit her preconceived ideals... and you may end the non-abusive, intelligent, kind CEO of your own company because you followed a dream. You just can't predict the future; but, I do believe 100% that you deserve someone who will accept you as you are for as long as you keep your mind open to the possibilities of the future.

I think we're all on the same page, Gremmie. I'm not sure why there are people who feel they have to point out that nobody is positive all the time. Nobody said they wanted someone who was positive every moment of their life. I don't know. Maybe they just want to be negative about the No Negativity preference people have.
