i think so...but even if i havent, i can use context clues to assume it is a mimicking disorder. Is it due to his autism or is it secondary to his autism?
Not gonna lie it is really weird, and shows no understanding of the comments.

He's relating what she said about him back to himself as a way of making his reply relevant but he doesn't add anything new from himself. Perhaps he couldn't think of anything.

thanks for posting all of the episodes...can i ask why you arent posting the look backs? i really want to see those....

OK, I'll see if I can find it. The reason why I didn't post these originally is because often the 'lookbacks' are pretty much just copies of the original episodes with maybe 10-15 minutes of new footage added in.

I can't find a copy anywhere. You can try to use a proxy and watch it on the 4oD website though.

No, I've posted all of the episodes to date. Apart, that is, from this catch-up ep.

This is an interesting programme that's just started it's second series in the UK, on Channel 4.

Most people think the term 'Undateables' is bad and I tend to agree - it's rather offensive and untrue as many of the people in the show have had partners in the past.

There seem to be more autistic/Asperger people in this 2nd series

I wondered what peoples' opinion was of Michael

Also, Sarah's problems are similar to the difficulties of Aspergers in a way, in terms of her not being able to communicate in the expected manner.

end of quote

 yeah i agree to some extent of this debate but some of what people are writing are a bit too narrow minded and false.
These programmes are good for people not just across the spectrum but in this country who deserve a voice and to stand up for themselves as to not let others take a premature view of them or their situation.

i enjoyed the first episode in the second series where i think michael is trying his best to convey how he feels about dating in general terms and what he would like to find in a partner. i believe that the match he recieved was maybe unsuited to him as i thought he would have been paired with an aspie girl but still..
and Damien was okay but i feel that the agency worker was a bit untoward towards him and his path towards true love.

Heather was 37 and had ocd, a condition i can associate with as my mother has it and i can see why she'd find it difficult despite her learning difficulties, did she work? i cant remember.

and last but not least i think the older guy with aspergers was being a bit unrealistic about the mileage he could have covered perhaps with someone if he found it too difficult to travel alone. (i struggle with long distances but am fine with journeys approx an hour).

Of course the others had their own sense of rough times but why do these programmes inhibit the viewers attention on where the true encounter lays? and why do 'outsiders' feel that the growth market on the subject of disabilites has had its day and its therefore time to backdown and let the corn reap the harvest or so to speak. sorry but if no one is gonna stand up to some of these agencies and what they believe in then dont you feel that someone has got to.
there ought to be a marginal outline for them so they know who they are dealing with.

end of thread on this subject

end of quote

It's not new. It's revisiting a previous episode.

It's probably more likely how they view themselves than some tv chief coming up with the title.

Because too much of the same topic bores people. Deal or No Deal has chronically run it's course. Cookery shows have finally eased up on the schedule, while there's more documentaries on at the moment.

I don't really like the title 'undateables' either

Even though I have never had a girlfriend in my life, I'd prefer not to think of myself as undateable.
