That's an interesting site, but I don't think it gives the complete picture. For a different point of view see http://www.laddertheory.com/ A lot of it seems like a joke but it does contain some nuggets of truth. I think the whole truth is somewhere between the two viewpoints presented by "Heartless b*****s" and "The Ladder Theory."

Well, what I think about this is "Nice guys finish last but they do finish", also it depends on the country you are living in. I suspect it's easier for example in Sweden for a guy to find a girl and still being able to be nice. It's rather about being able to entertain the girl and you don't have to be an a**hole to entertain, but perhaps it requires more practice to be able entertain as a nice guy.

Personally I'm a nice guy, and I've had trouble finding a girl. But that's not because of the fact that I'm a nice guy.
I've grown more confident lately and right now I've met a wonderful girl who I can see a future with, it was the worth the waiting.

I don't believe there are any nice guys.

That's blunt and sad and all encompassing, but true.

What have the men in your life done that was so bad? And how many of them have there been that you think you can generalize their behavior to the entire male population of the world?

Agreed...at least not in the "nice" sense that I'm thinking of otherwise this theory of girls going after thugs wouldn't be flawed if it were true for me.

And way too many debasing assumptions about women in general in this forum no matter what opinion you have of yourself. Apparently "nice" guys already have women figured out.

The irony of complaining that guys think they have women figured out, yet thinking that you have every singly guy in the world figured out...
It never ceases to amaze me how socially acceptable misandry is.

Uh no...in fact I know some guys here that're not like that even in other sites. In fact, in most of my posts I've been careful not to generalize guys the way most of the posts do about women and yet I still manage to piss the majority off.

I've known better sites even with guys in them that didn't act this weird about women posting.

Goodbye.

In the very window I'm using for this reply, the word "misandry" has a red dotted line beneath it. Why? Because the spellchecker hasn't been programmed to acknowledge that misandry exists. There's one example of that you mean, pbcoll.

However, two wrongs don't make a right. We males have to be on our guard against becoming mysogynistic. I'm not to proud of having made sweeping generalisations, especially in the face of evidence proving them to be unfounded.

Well, I was going on the specific post I quoted - you were agreeing to a universal generalisation.

? I object to all of us getting tarred with the same brush, I have nothing against women posting - in fact some of my favourite members are women.

True.

I make negative generalisations about both genders, but I don't think I make many universal ones - I think most people of either gender are shallow, vapid and selfish, so depending on which gender I'm talking about I could easily come accross as really misogynistic or really misandrous. But I try to stay away from saying 'all' because it is neither true nor fair.
