BTW,
Do you take off your "ball and chain" when you go to bed?
Would be pretty chafing if you wear it all the time.

Truth be told its just cognitive dissonance. I'm not talking about suppressing sexual urges (as I told Kraftie most of us can handle that easily), its about things that happen that you don't realise at the time but something is just not right. It tends to happen with younger girls in the workplace (even those who are married or have B/F).

Read some of QFTs posts on WP. He also had the same experience working with younger girls in a university like me.

But my experience is my experience, I'm not saying you can't be friends with anyone you want. It's what makes you comfortable.

I have had sexual thoughts about them—but I keep them to myself.

To this day, I’m pretty decent friends with two of my former professors. If I would “try anything,” I would be out on my butt

I’m able to “keep my hands to myself.” Other guys are able to “keep their hands to themselves,” too.

Please note that I’m not knocking women. I’m just saying that guys aren’t just whirling dervishes of hormones.

Most men can control themselves Kraftie but there isn't scope for a long term "platonic" friendship if the girl/woman is single.

In the real world I have good working relationship with married women as there is a mutual understanding. Indeed I am able to catchup for coffee with many of my married female co-workers.

Single girls don't make good co-workers for males for reasons I don't really need to spell out.

I've never understood this kind of logic :?. Since you're married yourself why would it make any difference if she is or not?

Sarcasm: You just explained the gender opportunity gap and pay gap in IT (and many male-dominated workplaces). Gee, if I'd gotten married earlier, been less attractive, more NT, not mentioned breastfeeding, or perhaps simply homosexual or male, I could have been a contender.

It's ok, Sharon, this is not necessarily the norm. I've gotten very good at "compartmentalising" such things, it's called being professional, and what with HR breathing down people's necks, others had to take a crash course in it too :P

We're sexual beings, but that's not all there is to us and anybody can learn to control their sexual impulses and how they react. It's also useful, as one can miss out on great opportunities otherwise, both personally and professionally.

Maybe it is a bigger problem in Australia?
Cyberdad are both Australias, remember?

I never kept "so-called" friends after a left work.
No one was interested.
Big deal. Meh.

My ex-boss is an amazing man, but it isn't as though we go to each other's BBQ every second month.
I could have lunch every 10 years if I wanted to with him, but no friends, nada.
Not that I want to or need to have them.
Just saying.

It surprised me but doesn't bother me.
I thought there was an automatic bond when you worked with people for 28 years.
Silly me.

Some people are people people.
Some are not.

I haven't thought of that, thanks for explaining. Not sure QFT is the best example, he has all kind of extra stuff that makes his situation rather... complicated.

Pepe: I'm "friendly" with most of my colleagues but not really close: there's banter and we go for lunch or a drink sometimes. I don't like mixing personal and professional stuff, it makes the minefield even more dangerous for an Aspie. What I meant is that I can be around women "I wouldn't kick out of bed" on a daily basis without it becoming an issue in how I interact with them or see them in general, I kind of "switch off" that part. I imagine being happy with my relationship helps too.

I only ever made one friend through work and we became really close only after we stopped working together.

What kinds of things are you interested in?

Just Thought I'd ask because finding people with similar common interests is an easier way to find friends. I know this sounds pretty corny, but it's true.

Just check my profile  ...
But you're right. I have to admit at this point that I struggle a bit to actually go alone to certain places to meet people.. For example a sportsclub or whatever is out there. Mostly it was always the most interesting people I was the most scared of

I believe LC was in Paris yesterday.
Who knows where she is today.

Have you tried dressing like a man? I mean pants, no jewelry, no cleavage showing, cut your hair like a boy.. try to make yourself less attractive to men. This might help them not be as quickly attracted to you. It's just natural for men to be attracted to a nice, talkative woman who is interested in being close to them as a friend, but romantic and sexual relationships often first start with that friendly closeness, and that overlap is irresistible to men to engage in wishful thinking or to imagine a sexual relationship in the future. You cannot be open, talkative and nice to men!! ! They find you attractive because you are pretty and the combination of the two is irresistible. Most women have learned this lesson when they were five or seven years old, but you have not gotten the memo due to Aspergers or Autism or other social developmental delay. You are now coming to realize this (that you cannot be open, talkative, nice to men because they will want sexual and/or romantic relationship) because you've become more mature due to life experience. For most women, it is obvious that being open, talkative and nice to a man is unsafe due to the sexual approaches or desires to approach with that from the man that will follow, so they only do it in safe and controlled situations, where they know the man realizes it is impossible or they are able to control and curtail the man's expectations! I think it is also a good life lesson to keep 'your mouth shut' and not be so naively talkative as it can get you in trouble with people as much as it can be an advantage.

Rather, most women use this ability for fun and to their advantage - be it to make friends at work with more experienced employees, to sell something, to make a man feel better, etc.

I have enough self-respect to dress and look like as I want to do and how I wanna see myself. But I atually I do dress like a boy a lot (sweatpants, hoodie and old runningshoes lol). I don't even wear make-up anymore, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

But yeah that's what I needed to hear I guess. Thanks for explaining me again how it is from the perception of a man. They all are superficial and it bores me.
I think it's gonna be still a big changement for me. From a lot of attention to almost zero. Let's face reality I guess

Maybe LC is just travelling around France by plane, but France isn't a big country and I would have thought road travel would have been the go.
Or, perhaps she is being repatriated back to Canada.

Whatever the case,
My best guess is that LC likes to globe-trot,
But I have been wrong about her before.
Which is surprising to me, because I'm usually good at sussing people out.

If LC comes back, she might be happy to inform us.

You're like the analyzer here  NT's don't do that.

So yeah there's no touristic travelling at the moment. France was just a connecting flight stop. I'm moving to Canada and I'm very happy this is finally happening right now. Europe is not my place...

I mentioned the "Dressing down Thing" pages ago.
In your case, I think it will have limited effect if you still maintain your effervescent personality.
You need to walk around with stooped shoulders, head down and muttering "Woe is me."
I'm sure *that* will do the trick.

HA!
Not based on the evidence.

Firstly,
Speculation is not "Rumour".

Secondly,
I used the information available to me to create a "Theory".

You *were* in Paris,
You *have* moved on.
France is *not* your *Home* country.
You *are* young.
You have a bubbly personality type.
You *are* an extrovert.
You *do* like the outdoors.
You *do* like travelling.

*And*, you *are* trying to enter the milky way.
If that doesn't mean a "Long Distant" Relationship",
I don't know what does.

Most autistic people *tend* to be introverted,
And yes, we *tend* to look at things in more detail.
That is one of the traits we are most "famous" for.

Autistic people are known for their "Special Interests".
Mine is human psychology.
And, I have always considered myself to be a "Mentat". 8)

Quote:
A Mentat was a profession or discipline that was developed as a replacement to the computers and thinking machines following the Butlerian Jihad that banned the creation of machines in the human mind's image, just as the Spacing Guild and the Bene Gesserit took up similar functions. https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Mentat

BTW,
"I'll be back",
To analyse you further,
If you stick around.
