If there is any reason to lose weight, it's so you can easily bend down and tie your shoes or clip your toe nails, because with a big stomach in the way it really suffocates you. You women have it easy. :) It would be much better to have the weight on your hips, thighs, and butt because it would be so much easier to bend down and tie your shoes or clip your toe nails. Maybe that's why I like women with big butts. :)

Just my two cents. :)

So...is the analogue of this
whether you knock things off tables with your rear end when you turn around?

:)

Cause...I do that...

It sucks even more not to get a break-up message at all, and to have to hack into your nerd's email to find out he's been leading a secret double life.

Husband-stealing sluts suck big time. They suck so much that your husband films them sucking, apparently.

Back to weight.

Who all weighed themself today?

I weighed myself on Wednesday. I maintained my weight but that's better than gaining. I forgot to measure my waist and hips so I'll do that later. I keep a weight-loss log as I go. :)

I'm scared of mine...I skipped two days of weight loss pills (I HAD to...) and I also ate more than usual (that being a plate of steamed veggies and some salad).

Basically, I lost ten pounds last week, and anything less than that, I'll be bummed.

If only I could maintain that loss at the same rate, I'd be skinneh in no timez!

Weigh-in is Sunday.

That's happened to me before...
but if I don't see some progress, the hell I'm going through is hard to submit to day after day.

On the topic of gaining and losing,
my original plan (after I went on diet pills last time)
was to keep within five or ten lbs of my goal weight,
eating normally, and then dieting them back off
(I absolutely cannot eat like a normal person continuously, or else I'd be huge)
but that spiraled out of control until I gained back (far) more than I'd lost.

I HAVE to stick to that goal this time-
dieting off and gaining back 5 or 10 lbs all the time
is much easier on your body than dieting off and gaining back SEVENTY.

i've lost almost 80 lbs over 3 years, but i am still technically obese (178 lbs/5'3"). what primarily helped me to drop the weight on an emotional level, beyond reducing calorie intake and increasing exercise, was to love myself at every weight. this was not always easy.

i needed to drop some sizes for hereditary health reasons (sleep apnea, high blood pressure, acid reflux, etc). not everyone has health problems when they are large, but i did. not all of my health issues are fixed yet (and probably never will be).

i've never found that i had any difficulty finding men who expressed a desire to have sex, regardless of my weight. HOWEVER, i have noticed on dating sites that men who are looking for an LTR tend to want a thinner woman. interesting.

I apologise, too.

Objectively, I am aware that what I wrote sounded very aggressive, and that you were just making a generalisation.

Emotionally (yeah - Aspies have emotions - who knew?) I felt that you were getting at ME, even though you were generalising, and it just hit a sore spot. Contrary to what you seemed to be assuming, I have a LOT of anger towards my treacherous nerd. Enough anger to fill the whole world. So I guess some of that came out in my post, and it seemed like I was angry at you.

By the way - I wasn't rolling my eyes at you per se - I was just following advice from another person and using smilies to help out Aspie readers and indicate that I was using sarcasm.

I guess that's not a good idea. Maybe next time I should use some of my arrows:

 <--------- Warning: all_white is about to be sarcastic.

blablablablabla insert sarcastic text here

 <---------- Relax: all_white is being normal again.

LOL that's a good method.

My method used to be: "if I can't fit into any of my trousers / jeans, then I'm getting too fat."

But then I ditched all the jeans and trousers and turned to being an exclusively skirt-wearing female, so now I am free!

You are right - the weight comes and goes on the hips and rear end, but not (in my case, anyway) on the waist. So skirts are 1,000 times better than trousers, because, as long as your waist measurement stays the same, you can still wear that skirt whether your bum is having a big phase or a slightly smaller phase. LOL

On a more serious note, there are other reasons to lose weight, which include avoiding diabetes and serious health problems. But I'm sure all the people hear already know that.

They're probably afraid of getting attacked or being seen as shallow. >.<

Well, my goal was to lose 50 pounds each year for two years to get back down to where I want to be. I'm 29 pounds down in 7 months so far, so I have 4 more months to lose another 21 pounds to stay on track with my goal. If I go 1 lb a week, this should be relatively easy to achieve so long as I keep to my diet and exercise. :)
