ta mate. I think some of the East Midlands ones are a bit far to go for pizza and pasta though. I dont have a car.. Even if it had shown up in Lincoln i think my social anxiety plays a large part in me dismissing it. I'm frightened to meet a group of new NTS. There's my local AS group that i go to. I cant see myself developing close friendships or relationships from going to that though.

I had similar reservations about anything that happens away from town so I went to a presentation night to see. There were alot of older people there (40+) as they make up a bigger portion of the group (they do do under 40 year old meets though) but I spoke to the only young person there and I'd be suprised if he doesn't have some social issues, anxiety at the very least but he was getting on well, the lady that leads the Manchester group told me he was even more shy when he joined too! There are a few things that they do which could help with what you've said too, firstly, if you tell them you're new when you go to your first events they'll pair you with a friendly member who's been there a while to help you settle and meet people. Secondly, they have a scheme for car sharing to events and you arrange it online so no awkward conversations to do it!

Sorry if it seems like I'm trying to sell this but I'm just a little excited by the prospect now as I've been pretty lonely for quite a while now!

That spice sounded a fantastic idea until i read up the locations, not one anywhere near canterbury. I'd love to meet u new people and perhaps though it would be nice to meet a lady!, I've sent long messages to girls on okcupid and got nothing back!. But it's ok for girls to send me "wink Wink " or " hi " that i don't really fancy :(

That's a shame WeatherFreak, maybe there are other similar groups you could find?

I'm the same on OKCupid, only I don't get 'hi's' or 'wink's' at all.

Crushes and hopes based on profiles ,photos and chat are so delusional. Be warned.

She's been online every now and then since i sent the reply message yesterday, it wasn't boring had plenty of info and a few questions for her. She hasn't responded :?

Why reply to my first message and then just cut me off for the next one, has anyone told her it's a conversation :(

I wouldn't go onto her profile constantly, that could be off-putting.

Really?, all it says is " last viewed ", as hers does on mine. I don't think it tells you how many times a person has visited lol

It does actually if you look at your visitors section. It can look seriously creepy if you've been on their profile multiple times. I certainly would find that a bit weird/offputting

Has anyone ever told you that other people have their own life(which isnt built around you) and that answering your message is probably the least of her priorities right now.

The above may seem a bit harsh but I was on a similar situation a couple of months ago and it took me several days of waiting for replies that arrived"late" /never arrived to understand that even though I try to answer to new pms daily not everyone does this and you just have to get over it and try to find something to expend your time on while waiting for an answer.

It also takes time to compose a reply sometimes. Were not all connosiours of writing aritculate and thought provoking messages 24/7

Even so, if she's been on a few times like you said, she'd have seen it keep changing.

I've always meant to just approach it logically and message a hundred women with a standard message and just take it from there. I dont know why i dont? Guess i've got a suspicion it wont work.
