You are beginning to sound like a seriously needy person. Continuing the relationship with you would probably be too draining on me, thus I still believe that it would be best to call it off. The mere fact that you would invent a story about another man in an attempt to shame me into continuing the relationship, followed by the outright admission of your complete and total neediness is a very strong turn-off.
