You're making excuses for them. They're just s**theads. A lot of men would behave like that if they felt they could. All kinds of men behave like that - it's not just inner-city scum that behave like that, though it is most common and blatant from them.

Nowhere did I say their actions were justified. You are confusing explanation as to their behavior with justification and the two are not the same.

I don't think most men would be this blatantly and randomly sexual. Of course women can be pretty blatantly sexual too. Last night an (attractive) woman asked me if I "like to lick p***y." Of course she had no actual intention to follow up with sex, just to feel more desired because apparently her boyfriend wasn't being "attentive" enough.

It's called "Flirting". Men make off-color comments or statements with two meanings to see how a woman will react. If she ignores it, then she is not interested in him. If she is offended, then she is interested in him, but not (yet) in a sexual way. If she responds with a similar comment, then she may be interested enough for the man to suggest a date.

At least, that's how it was explained to me.

Yes, but most men who flirt don't tell unknown women that they want to put something up their ass.

Yes - that's just sexual aggression/harassment, not flirting.

Exactly. I suspect that these morons must have believed that Molly was on the same level as them.

To some poor, misguided fools, discussing rectal insertion is flirtation.

It depends on the exact nature of the person you're talking to whether she will appreciate that kind of comment, but most women won't. Some of the freakier ones might but most people would see it as abusive and would react accordingly.

Personally, I prefer something more subtle, like "Is it cold in here or are you just glad to see me?"

Hi everyone,

I don't know why some people say I "bash all men" because actually, I really enjoy most mens' company. Why should I bash men? I like men. If I ask a question such as "why do men do such and such.....?" then I am asking for insight and information, I am not putting them down in any way, and certainly not bashing them. I don't recall a single instance where I've bashed men, especially when there's no reason to since I enjoy mens' company.

I don't know why some people dig up the unrelated fact that I can pick up dates easily, too. Yes I can, and I can teach anyone else to do it too, it's not difficult. I can teach men how to get dates as well as women. That does not mean I dress provocatively. I've simply had enough sales and negotiation training in my working life to be able to sell/negotiate for nearly anything I want, including dates.... jobs.... special favours from professors.... special prices from vendors.... jump to the top of waiting lists..... etc. etc. All these things are based on training in sales and negotiating, not on dressing "provocatively". If I was really a conceited woman who thought I was better than everyone else, I'd never tell you that I could teach nearly any of you how to do the same things I've learned how to do. If I was conceited, I'd attempt to make you think I had a special personal magnetism that could not be replicated by all the rest of you. But I am not conceited because I honestly maintain that almost all of you, if you had my training, could do very much the same sorts of things.

I would kindly ask that if someone thinks I've said something bashing anyone, or has come to some odd idea about the way I dress, or is confused by my comments (or thinks I'm a man) ......just ask me! Jumping to far-fetched conclusions is going to confuse you and make you write silly things that are far from reality.

But these conversations I was having were only online, the men did not see any of my photos, they had no idea whether I was dressed provocatively or not, and all our discussions were on ordinary topics only. I wasn't giving them any "available and interested" signals. But even if I was, I found it extremely weird that the sexual comments were so out of the blue and such poor attempts to interest any woman.

I'd like to point out again...... sexual comments in general do not bother me or offend me. I am not upset by them. I'd as happily discuss bananas up the bum just like I'd discuss the finer points of quantum theory. The part that confused me was these same men, who'd just made the crudest possible sexual comment possible to a stranger, got irate when I asked them if they wanted to discuss sex with me. If they had said that yes, they did want to have sex with me, then we'd have discussed the possibility or lack of it. But their getting upset about it when they'd initiated the sexual discussion first......? That's what confused me. This made their intentions in making the crude sexual comment incomprehensible to me.....did they want to turn me on? Did they want to offend me? Were they hoping I'd giggle and blush shyly? Did they hope I'd say, "Yes, yes, yes, that's what I want, a popsicle up my cooch" Or what?

You don't understand - they're not interested in mutually consensual, intellectual discussions about sex. They just want to make aggressive, juvenile comments. It's more about dominating than the actual sex itself. It's more like "I want to do something degrading to you and you're not supposed to like it, you slut".

They're not interested in a discussion about sex.

Just out of curiosity did the names Richard Bandler and John Grinder come up on the sales and negotiation training you did?

I suspect that in their immature imagination, she's supposed to love being degraded.

Some women do, but I suspect a lot of those are either extremely promiscuous or have 'issues' of their own, if you get what I'm saying.

Another great lesson from internet porn...
