I don't believe when people say they want normal cause they marry a June Cleaver and then alley cat around with a self destructive, big dreams, going nowhere, type.

I caught that when I wrote it...however this aspie shutdown thing seems fairly common from what I gathered on the thread I posted....and set off by exactly the type of woman desired here. A dynamic, sexy, intellectual thrilling one (etc). So Im simply stating the facts. Be careful what you wish for, you might get it, go into a shutdown and needlessly break her heart, souring her on aspie men forever.

It is what it is.

You are rite it is fairly common. I think I might would be better with an NT because I'm kind of the extreme opposite of the typical Aspie in that area but I have problems with NTs because I'm very direct & straight-forward(they assume I'm being mean, offensive, rude ect when I think I'm just being honest & they tend to tell me one thing when they really mean something else; like they tell me they only want to be friends so I assume they are not interested in me romantically but what they really mean is lets be friends while we explore the possibility of more; stuff like that is too indirect for me) I'm also introverted, socially awkward & love routines & schedules(I have bad OCD) & I think lots of NTs would be too unpredictable to handle that.

have tried some variations without much success… i learned though that i had most in common with women who had spectrum traits…

i therefor would love to find a genuine certified aspie partner some day...
