What's the point?
If it's mostly muscle only atrophy will reduce size and if you use the muscle in your daily life, and eat a diet at maintenance level you won't be able to drop it and you will regain the size fast.

Yeah I do a lot of running and things I won't be able to shrink them down. Anyways that's a topic for another thread, on another day lol
Well I went out tonight. I watched the angels blue jays game and had a pint of beer - which i shouldn't have done but I did it anyways. Then I went to the music show - and I had more beer, hoping to get drunk enough to talk to some girls. The problem was - that everyone was in a group. Everybody there had somebody to talk to. And when I tried to make conversation with a couple of girls - they just shrugged me off after I asked them if they've heard the band before. I left eventually and now i'm home. Same old. Same old.
Really? I thought he had a unique look.
I was gonna tell him to dress in baggy pants/t-shirts, but then I looked at his avatar pic. lol
In my opinion, even if you're a little overweight, dressing baggy isn't a good idea. If you do dress baggy, it's better to wear, say, a loose tshirt and tighter pants, or vice versa. Basically dressing baggy says you're ashamed of your body.
Really? I hate tight clothing, so I'm always wearing looser clothes. Doesn't mean I'm ashamed of my body, but I can see why it would come off that way, now.
I mean there's no reason to like...wear spandex all the time or something. But, if you can fit into a medium shirt, wear a medium shirt, don't wear a large or XL. That sorta thing.
Baggy looks good on me since I'm kind of hispanic looking(tan with black hair/brown eyes)
It's funny when typical looking white guys dress like that though.
I tend to prefer the right size shirts with baggier pants because my thighs are quite thick from weight lifting. To the point where the "right" size pants become like emo-kid jeans.
I've learned to not be ashamed of my big thighs and butt. Oddly, though, one of my "herp derp" social cue things was these two girls grabbing my butt in health class. I thought they were like...making fun of me. So I yelled at them. Little did I know they wanted to bone me. Oops. With my combo of ice skating and doing almost entirely lower body weightlifting, I pretty much look like the guy from the Squatz and Oatz cartoons. But yes, I've gotten many positive comments about my huge butt/legs. I used to think it was ugly, though.
Been there. It's easier to socialize with new people wen you're already socializing with some people. Which blows.
I much prefer going out in a group to going out alone and one of the reasons is that a group can socialize with another group in a way it's hard for an individual to.

Yeah, I usually have a friend around to bear the brunt of the conversation when I am incapable of it. I suppose I would also have that person be my "wingman" as well if I were looking for a date, but I haven't met any men that way in the past.
Have you tried on line dating? You may be able to hook up with someone who has similar interests.
Isn't smiling at the person the very first step? I'm not a mind reader.
It is in most cases.
The reason they turned their heads may simply because they're shy and it came as quite a shock to them.
Wouldn't worry too much. c:

I think he has perhaps been to shy. many females expect the male to be the one who first breaks the ice, then all they have to do is accept or reject your social offer of getting to know each other. females are used to rejecting mens "come ons" so they think little of it. while your just going to have to get used to the rejection game and work the numbers. but your best bet is as suggested before, find a social group that enjoys the same things your interested in and go from there.
I don't know what you mean by social group since I have no friends so I go to social outings alone and I try to strike up conversations with peoria but all they do is shrug me off quite literally and continue on their merry way as if this constant rejection isn't eatin away at me more and more each time I try to put myself into society. I'm almost at m ropes end - because if i can't meet somebody in University then I'm screwed for a social life. This guy (aquaintence) who likes to pretend we're not friends when he's with his friends asked me how my sex life was and I responded with "haha... I dunno man. Non existstent" I am actually very perplexed as well as I take care of myself quite well and I maintain lots of discipline etc. The crushing loneliness isn't what makes me consider suicide every day but the huge confusion. I could understand I wouldn't be welcomed as much if I looked slobbish etc. and then I see actual slobs with good looking women - and it confuses the hell out of me. I'm not even seated beside good looking women or people that have the same interests as I do. I remember a week ago I was out buying blue berries and I tried striking up a conversation pertaining to economics and the impending doom were about to face - and literally the vendor woman laughed and took no interest and her friend stared directly at the ground while I was speaking almost as if I'm just some whacko. I feel worthless and for 22 years old I should feel vibrant and full of life but watching people converse with their friends or hold hands with their partner is heart wrenching to me.
And I think another really depressing part of my circumstance - is that I'll be alone on Canada Day. It sucks when you can predict you'll be alone on a holiday "Yep - I'll be alone for Thanksgiving - and Christmas." Just prepping yourself for loneliness is crushing. I'm 22. I'm a good looking nice guy. I shouldn't have to worry about this BS - but I do. And that's what makes me want to just end it all because it seems like there's no light at the end of this tunnel. It's been 22 years I've been going through this same tunnel and I just want someone to be interested in the same things as I am - and maybe kiss me. It seems like I'm just asking for too much. I'm destined to be alone - because based on the statistical evidence (not being laid in four years - and the last time you did get laid you didn't enjoy it one bit / having friends to hang out with) there's more than enough reason to jump off the bridge "Hey world! f**k you!" What else do you say? You come home and it's the same thing every day - different weather. And there's no signs that your social life is improving - because you just went out and got drunk at a bar full of people and not a single person talked to you. Yep. Real f*****g encouraging.
If you are considering suicide then you should talk to your doctor. Counselling or anti-depressants could help.
I managed to go through university with no friends. I just couldn't fit in with any group. It was depressing. I used to go to the pub and sit by myself and watch all the people interacting. I just felt so useless. As I got older I found it easier to talk to people and have ended up with friends who I met at work, but it took a long time.
Don't give up on yourself. Sometimes it's just a matter of hanging in there when things are tough.
There is some serious deficiency here. I wish I knew what it was. I'm more than capable of understanding there's a missing link from A to B and I'm not getting it. Like it's just not clicking with me. And I wish I knew why because it seems like I'm living in an entirely different world, and I'll never ever be apart of the social sphere no matter how hard I try. I was on "the ave" which is Whyte Avenue where all the bars are - and that was the night before - and I actually stopped dead in my tracks to ask a group of girls passing me - how one of the girls broke here leg. They kept going at full speed ahead - answered my question with: I use to be a belly dancer." and then laughed. All three girls laughed. Do you know how that makes me feel? I wanna f*****g kill somebody. I want the world to hear my pain. Nobody listens to me. This isn't fair. I understand I'm much better off than lots of other people - but to be quite frank with you - everybody has their baggage, and my baggage is hindering me from interacting with other human beings. That is probably the worst possible thing that could happen to somebody in a north american society, where we constantly depend on others for support. Emotionally etc. I have to go home - look in the mirror and ask myself "What the f**k is wrong with me?! why don't people like me?!" I thought maybe buying a blue jays hat to show my love for the sport and the team, would prompt somebody - anybody to ask me about jays. I'd be more than happy to sit down with them and talk about baseball. Maybe even watch a game - because I have to keep going to bars alone to watch it! This is really ridiculous! I literally look up into the sky - hoping that aliens will abduct me and take me back to my home planet because this planet sure doesn't make any sense.
That's for sure!
Try to accept the way things are and don't be too hard on yourself. Friends come when you least expect them. Often when you aren't looking for them.

If I didn't make any effort - I would be sitting at home all day sleeping or studying math. Which is what I already do when I'm crying into my coffee. Plus, if I didn't make any effort - I would get condemned for not taking initative.
