@yellow tamarin- love your rubberband explanation. i think most relationships last less than 10 years. a rubberband lasts longer.

Until you stretch it too far and it snaps. If you never stretch it, it will be limp and useless. Keep your relationship away from ozone because that's the main culprit. You could keep it in a plastic bag with a few iron filings added to take out the oxygen. Better, create covalent bonding and build sulphur bridges across as many cure sites as you can, to give the relationship good dynamic properties. Impregnate with carbon to absorb the UV and inhibit oxidation.

Oh... Bummer!
Too much strain can snap the band, Too loose means it is losing value.
Also if it's not fresh and is tested thoroughly, it will deteriorate (like rust but much easier to pull apart than straining the band.)
So it's important to keep the band fresh and energetic.

So, since I can't shoot a rubber band without it just snapping back on my own fingers... does that have some deep significance to my ability in the relationship department?
