I'm interested in learning whether she's given you signs that have been encouraging and this is why you are considering hitting on her. You'll either get rejected and she will giggle about it with your dad, or she will kindly turn you down and tell your dad. Let's go crazy and imagine she actually says she's interested, would you really wanna date someone that easily swayed? Maybe that's what you need. A life lesson.

If my dad brought home a girlfriend around my age, I would probably instantly detest her too. That would make me feel very uncomfortable and kind of gross, that my dad was dating someone around my age. Isn't that kind of creepy, wanting to have sex with someone the same age as your grown children? It strikes me as strange, but maybe it's more normal for other people.

^ you also have to take into account the the girlfriend is a gold digger. Probably plans on alienating all the children from him so she gets all the money to herself. If that was my dad's girlfriend, she would mysteriously dissappear

Her goal is probably to get your sister to punch her so she can whine to your dad and turn your dad against his own daughter because that equals more money for her.

Does your dad have life insurance? I wouldn't be surprised if the wench convinced him to add her to his plan, then shortly he has a "freak accident," and she get huge payout.

You can't be "in love" with someone you have no relationship and no bond with. You're overindulging in a schoolboy crush. Even if she were to respond to that (and she'll probably just laugh in your face), it would only be creating pointless drama that would ultimately result in heartbreak for you, and a lot of long-term resentment all around.

Family should be the strongest bond you have in this world. When absolutely everything that can go wrong in your life does go wrong, and there's nobody else to turn to, family should the the one thing you know you have left. Screwing that up is the g*ddamn stupidest thing a human being can ever do. Take a cold shower and grow up.

What's the actual purpose to this thread? You haven't actually responded to any of the (MANY) posts that are saying, "don't go there".

He tends to start threads as a monologue about his thoughts or memories of his younger years, then if he contributes any further it is very basic or yet another monologue. I don't think he's particularly interested in or mentally capable of responding to anything anyone has to say unless it helps him achieve what he wants or confirms his biases. There's nothing inherently wrong with being this way (nor can it necessarily be helped), but it doesn't make it any less frustrating for the readers and correspondents.
