True. He’s at least got a work ethic and is much more responsible.

But he’a not really a very nice guy. His negativity and hostility towards his son’s mother and his ex-wife. Not good. Given the opportunity, he’d regard women no differently than Charlie.

It’s emblematic of a dilemma men often face: reconciling using women with taking a moral higher ground. Not all women want a relationship. Women do use men’s desire to possess them to get what women want. Men in this world are just as disposable as the women they believe they possess. Alan easily gets trapped because he attracts (and falls for) women with an agenda. Unless he can fix that, he is not cut out for marriage.

Judith is no angel by any means. She was controlling and nasty to Alan. She tried to get as much money out of Alan as she could. She was nasty to Herb too and she always made everything about her all the time.

I haven't seen much of the series but I always had the sensation that Herb was the nicest of the guys.

Herb was a really chill guy and he was really funny. I loved how much it pissed Judith off when Herb became friends with Alan and Charlie.

This show is so offensive! All women are queens! They would never ever do anything bad unless men deserved it!

turning to ashes flowers in their fields,
silenced the birds in the trees.

I loved that episode where they all meet in the burned house.

I never said Alan was a saint. He's not my pastor.....just happen to think he's funny. Judith is a shrew like Lilith from Frasier.
