I wonder if any other Aspies are primarily feeling. I used to be a strong INTP but my values have shifted considerably to being much more humanistic and people-oriented... however, I'm still Aspie and so it's difficult for me to convey empathy and thoughtfulness at times.

Any other Aspie feelers have similar problems? (Our values not lining up with our abilities?)

INTJ

My sister and I did the tests and got different results. I can't remember what she is.

She asked me if I thought mine was accurate, then read this:

Quote:
INTJs often completely disregard the idea of social norms, and prefer to follow what they believe makes logical sense. Having to bend to what society tells them to be, is not something INTJs are likely to fall victim to.

She said, "yeah, that's you."

So this being in L&D, have and INTJs managed to maintain a romantic relationship, let alone get past a first date? Is it possible?

I voted INTJ because it's what I've gotten in the past, but then I took the version linked in the thread and got INTP. I've taken some version of the test three times in total and the INT is always strong and the last letter is always close. I relate to the descriptions for both groups I've seen on various websites and I don't think I fit into one more than the other. It would be more accurate to focus on the spectrums than to put people into discrete categories.

In a way, anyone who's in the middle of one of the spectrums is always going to be mistyped. I suspect I have undiagnosed ADHD but I don't think it makes my results less accurate. Any mental condition that significantly affects your thoughts and actions is a part of your personality.

My girlfriend is a feeler type. She's told me in the past that she is kinda on the boarder with two types. I don't remember which two but I am sure she is an I & she def seems like a feeler type. She may not be on the spectrum but she has a lot of overlapping issues. She is very sensitive to others & has a very hard time setting boundaries like telling people No. She feels very bad if she upsets someone, especially her family. She grew up in a kinda bad environment & has had some hard-core religious stuff pushed on her including extreme stuff like thoughts have power. If you think anything negative about someone & something bad happens to em, it is your fault because you had a negative thought. For example if you want somebody to leave you alone for a bit so you can have your space & something happens & the person dies, it is your fault because you wanted them to leave you alone. Cass has OCD & having the thoughts have power thing pushed on her growing up caused her to excessively worry about upsetting others & her being a horrible person if she ever thinks anything bad about someone. She doesn't really believe the thoughts have power thing nowadays but it is very hard not to get those thoughts in her head sometimes.

She has various issues she's dealing with & it is very difficult for her to put others 1st sometimes. She gets very drained when having to go out & do stuff. She needs to spend lots of time at home but a couple of her family members pressure her to visit them regularly even thou they NEVER go out to visit her. She always has to go to them because of their issues. Her brother who's been diagnosed with Aspergers since he was little is the worst one. He accuses family of not loving him whenever he cant get his way & he's been like that sense he was little. Cass basically gives in & gives & gives until she reaches her breaking point with him & then she gets mad at him & he then blames her for upsetting him, he always blames others for his negative emotions. This causes Cass to hate herself & feel like she is a horrible person. There is a saying that goes something like, You cant please everyone all the time but you can please some people some of the time. It is very difficult for Cass to accept that & not blame herself. She's studded psychology a lot & has been to at least a couple counselors for a while as an adult. She knows intellectually that those types of thoughts are f#cked up but rewiring her brain to unlearn it & to quit thinking like that may be next to impossible.

My beloved (Aspie) husband would most likely identify with you in that he (INFJ), too, is very humanistic by nature...In our marriage and with other people who are also important to him, he tries hard to be thoughtful, understanding, and empathetic...I notice that for me, he makes an extraordinary effort...Yet, still falls short...

Things are getting better as i have become better at accepting the limitations imposed on him by his autistic traits...Especially, as i do see his effort...And i appreciate his effort more than the outcome    ...I try not to 'measure' him with what i call 'the NT yardstick'...Doing so would only frustrate me and discourage him to the extent that this could destroy our marriage...

Again, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom...

Post-Script: By the way, INFJs have extraverted feeling...But they do not show it as ENFJs like me...

I am no expert on this subject...However, i know enough to suspect that you are possibly INTJ..Yet, your autistic traits or some related medical condition is causing you to mistype...Does this possibility makes sense to you???

I do not pretend to be an expert on this topic...However, i know enough to know that yes, a medical condition such as ADHD may lead to be mistyped...Also, immaturity causes a mistyped...This is why it is not recommended in minors...For their personality is not yet developed...Surely if we find ourselves in an unhealthy state, emotionally and/or mentally, this will also lead to a mistype...For the most part, however, these tests are quite accurate...

INFP. Makes sense because I’m a writer.

I don’t fit neatly into one category. I’ve taken quizzes many times and I always come out as strongly J and as I as it is possible to be, but depending on my mood and the particular questions, I can come out on either side of N/S and T/F, and am usually near the line on both.

The last time I did the test, it came up with 'mediator', it has been INTJ before and probably INTJ as a child, but I am always changing now however. And there's a difference between "exploring unrealistic but intriguing ideas", to me experiencing obsessive delusions and delusionary obsessions, racing thoughts and having cyclic phycotic/schizophrenia episodes which is a chemical imbalance. And Olanzapine has changed how I perceive and experience the world significantly.

True...I stated above that the results could be incorrect when we find ourselves unhealthy emotionally and/or mentally...Best wishes to you...

I just looked them up, and it sort of seems like each of the categories I can fall into (INTJ, ISTJ, INFJ, ISFJ) fits one aspect of my personality, but none describe me as a whole. I guess the description for ISTJ comes closest.
