Woah how did I miss this thread, really, really excellent discussion in here. Good to see another disciple of Mr. De Angelo too
I would never go out with an NT girl younger than 22. Not for anything. Lower than this age and their minds are just all over the place, which is natural and fine, though I want no part of it.
I am also feeling dis-illusioned for essentially "knowing too much". The more introspective I become and the more I learn, the deeper I entrench myself in a state of higher conciousness that interferes with purely observable reality. The reality known to most people in this world. Sometimes I wish I could go back to seeing things more simply like when I was 16-17 again.
I would get plenty more options if I would just lie about who I am and what I know. If I put all of my effort into perfecting the ideal in the minds of most people. I actually used to do it and became increasingly better at it before I learned of AS. Though now I know better, or do I?

Change what things mean.
You can do that logically, it'll help you to be better adjusted and deal with things in a more positive and constructive manner. At the same time though while you can change that it still doesn't change a lot of the fundamentals of your emotions, the way you operate, and while people do have varying degrees of freedom in this we still have walls that kind of keep us in our place in certain ways - those don't come down no matter what you think, what you choose to do, just because they're too inherently genetic. I know this because I am one of those people who's given it my all to change a lot of things for long periods of time but had to find out the hard way that genetics tend to reclaim any progress you make which goes outside the boundaries of what they'll allow. Sure, you can keep hammering away on yourself to stay outside those boundaries but ultimately you come that neurotic from the sheer unrelenting effort and maintenance that it takes that you realize your doing more harm than good with yourself.
I don't think I'd be able to bear what I do,
if I believed this.
I think you'd have to explain what you mean by that for it to really transfer meaning, while I'm sure you know what your saying that sentence is very semantic and its tough to really nail down what your getting at. Not that you owe anybody an explanation, just that its difficult to read something like that without mostly applying ones own interpretation of what it would mean.
Still, it has to have some objective and definitive boundaries to have any meaning in and of itself. If you do feel better free-winging your beliefs and keeping your sense of the truth in an area where you feel your emotionally healthiest - that's understandable and I wouldn't fault you on that. Still, to really have a full sense of empathy for what the world is going through it needs to be done; that is if you see that sort of knowledge as a means to get ahead and that gaining wisdom will achieve the objectives which you have set in place for yourself.
I'm not saying that I've fully succeeded.
Hell, I'd be happy, if I had, and I'm not.
But failure is not a proof that something
is impossible. And partial success is an
indicator of the opposite.
I don't think I'd be able to bear what I do,
if I believed this.
I think you'd have to explain what you mean by that for it to really transfer meaning....
To put it less prettily, life ain't worth it,
without.
I have seen no reason to believe in objectivity.

Well, I guess the reason I've been able to accept that shift is I've had an extremely internal locus of control for the last 7 years or so of my life and I was killing myself with it just because I really felt that it I wasn't getting what I wanted out of life it was my fault and even if it seemed like I couldn't help it - still my fault because I needed to work with some past habits and issues.
Unfortunately for me it only worked so well before, like I was mentioning, the effort was just making me too neurotic and really starting to do much more damage than good (I had this way of looking at it as if it were life and death of honor so I guess I took it to unhealthy extremes). Now that I've had a chance to sit back and realize what's going on, while I do hate the fact that it obliterates most if any hope for the future on a lot of levels its at least nice that I can relinquish on being my own worst bully and try teaching myself to just live even if living is kinda f'd up.

You know, techstep, if we ended up in the same old age home together we would be best buddies. Not to mention pissing off all the other old folks with phat beats still cranking.
If women don't know what they want: WHY POST A PROFILE ON A DATING SITE???! !!
God damn. I'll never understand these human creatures.
Because they don't KNOW they don't know what they want. They think they know exactly what they want, until a flighty emotion comes along and changes everything -- ESPECIALLY with girls 18-21, to which you referred. IMHO, girls that age aren't even worth dealing with, most of 'em are so unpredictable and unstable.

Nah, I think it's pretty much the same.
Most guys want the party girl. Remember,
we're a small subset of the population, one
which probably has always been this way,
for the most part.

Heh, nice. Well, at 27 and at least 5 or 6 years out of my raver days I'm still driving to work listening to Freaky Flow, Soul Slinger, Roni Size, J Smooth, Gravediggaz, old Metalheadz (crowning UK D&B label), it almost feels like I'm out of phase right now. On another hand though, so what - its my soul food, it keeps me alive, keeps me inspired, and to me its just very emotionally healthy; its like medication without popping a pill if you get my drift.

In most cases, change is possible, but you might not like the results.

I'm glad.
I have a female friend who has the same problem with guys on there and we were talking about this a couple nights ago. The funny thing is, she's also one of those people where she rejected whatever image society threw at her, she did what she could to be her best self, and while she loves the independence and freedom of really being her its come at a cost - for some reason guys just aren't interested. I can really relate to that in the sense that when I was lost in the maze back in highschool, when my problems were at my worst, and when I really didn't know myself, things worked a lot more harmoniously with women - however when I really decided to push my strengths, not let other people dictate to me who I was, and started presenting myself as I wanted to; sure it gained respect from the guys but women were almost turned off. I'm thinking this is because she, like myself, has a more cerebral style of communication - that seems to beat everything to dust in the dating world and Dave DeAngelo has spelled out that people have a very small, weird, and petty way of viewing that.
Try to date your female friend .Sometimes the right one can be under your nose .
....and oh please don't convince me that u don't like her somehow or u never thought abt that or you are too nice to mess a such beautiful friendship ...bla bla .

Actually I'm just not attracted to her, she knows it as well just from times we've joked around about certain things (her shooting offers) and I didn't take em up. I've learned my lesson from past experience that if I don't have attraction to someoneit can't happen, more or less it just ends up really awkward with me wanting to like em but realizing I just physically can't on that level - which also puts in play the fact that if its someone I respect and, particularly someone with better social skills or social stature like the last time this happened, I end up feeling worse than if I'd been dumped (I guess because I hate putting anyone through that especially if I like and respect em on a platonic level).
Dating is crap, 85%-90% of the people in my country, if not the world, are absolutely battshit crazy stupid sociopathic followers. if your ***REALLY*** real, and if you have an IQ, and your male, and your aspie or disabled, the chances of finding a mate are next to zero.
I gave up on dating or love or any of that crap because it does not exist for me because I'm not low enough on the food chain to attract anyone. I'm not a bad looking guy, here is a link to my pic:

I care about people, I don't follow all these blind social norms because I am intellectually above most of them, and because of it, I am alone forever.
my advice, seek escorts. It's far less trouble, you pay your fee, do your business, she's out the door, no drama, no baggage, no head games, no disappointments, no hurt, no confusion... Most men pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for women the traditional route anyways, and half the time they don't even get to first base. Atleast with an escort you know you'll hit a home run.
