Men' Bodies.... What do girls ACTUALLY want???
He has the world's skinniest arms - he refers to them as his 'bony, girly arms'. He has a hairy chest - very nice!
I think he is extremely sexy!
Helen
My arms and writs are quite skinny. I have some biceps/tricepts but is bony around the wrists. Used to worry about it more, even thought I had small hands, but comparing in martial arts My hands are not as small as some, pretty average even. Plus my arms can get out of tight places.
Hah! I used to slip through milk delivery doors
to break into houses. And I'm not all that thin,
just able to stretch well.
I could do that if I wanted to. Quite good at rescuing things with my hands. It is best if you don't look (if you can). I face the other way.
I'm not bad a general manipulation when I'm focused. Not reactions like computer games. I remember when the spindle shifted on the door to the back garden. The door bell rang on the front door that is when I realised. All I had was a thin piece of wire about 20cm I bent it the right the first time put it through the key hole and hooked it, I only had a about a centimetre spare, and broke in rushed to answer the door.
Apparently when I was a kid I locked myself in the bathroom locking a lock that was on the outside using some string then dislodging the key and pulling it under the door. I can't remember myself due to memory problems, but I'm not sure of a few things:
Why was there lock on the outside of the bathroom, that wasn't a through lock?
Why didn't I just bolt the door?
I guess I just wanted to see if I could do it, and be alone. I just stayed in there. I think my dad had to force the door, or he had a key.
I've dated across the body spectrum.
If you're missing kindness or a willingness to use your intelligence it really doesn't matter what you look like.
Physically, the only absolute is that he be able to keep up with me hiking. . . or, if he happens to be in a wheelchair, generally fit as limitations make possible.
Although serious advantage to the man who can out-dance me and still chooses to dance with me often.
However, personally I like-
men who dance
long, well cared for hair
brown skin. . . . although pale skin sometimes is particularly good too. . .
Strong- physical characteristic having little to do with muscle size
Graceful
Wide shoulders
long arms. . . long legs. . .
Hands that know work
uh. . . tall is good, I guess.
Being a particularly good lead can make up for. . . uh. . . well, anything physical.
I'm trying to think if there's anything else consistent. . .
For awhile I seemed to have a "type"- nerdy, older than me, white, with excessive math background and not enough books. . since I started dancing my dating world seems to have expanded.
When I think of what's attractive to me, though, I think of individuals, and their own very different beauty; the first guy I dated always reminded me of a Greek statue. . . the last one I dated, opposite physical type, is the one I've possibly been most attracted to- physically- but I have no idea how much of that was the intensity of his personality instead. . . he's missing, like, half the characteristics on the list and I still find him dead sexy.
*shrugs*
I sort of wonder what the point is of coming up with an idealized list to compare one's self to. . . Once, a long time ago, I asked my boyfriend about his favorite movie star, and what he liked about her; ever after, I couldn't help mentally comparing and making assumptions about what he would have different about me.
Not useful.
Or, anyway, that's what I think.

Body types women find attractive vary by the taste of the woman. What determines if we think your body is worthy of being pressed against ours is relatively universal. Clean. Clean teeth, clean nails, clean hair. Soft skin is nice, but no grease. If you wear cologne, tone it down.
Also, hairy for the most part is icky except for a few women who think it is attractive. If you insist on being hairy, thin out the excessive growth. Including unibrows. If you have a moustache, well, the 70’s are over, and unless you are a porn star, it’s time to let go of your little buddy. We made one of our friends shave his off and I am not kidding, women were on him like flies for a change. Moustache is just a little to “Chester the Molester”.
Good posture is so important. Posture is one of those little body language cues that NT’s use to determine security and sanity. Slumping makes you appear to be psycho or so clinically depressed even meds don’t help. Evolution determined we walk upright, so do it.
Since clothes cover your body, they are part of your body. Make sure they are clean and in one piece (stains and tears are out). Don’t mismatch. Nothing too tight (it will make you appear that you have grown out of your clothes and are in denial or don’t care that you look bad). Nothing too baggy either. Don’t hide your belly under a shirt that hangs off you like a tent. We know your belly is there, and we perceive you as sloppy if you are wearing a tent.
Also, wear a smile. Even if you don’t feel like smiling. Even if you have to make a conscious effort to smile, do it. It is part of the body we like and look at. Hence why we like clean teeth. Practice. Walk around the mall with a smile (not too huge like you are going to bite) and not at passerby’s and do the little hello mumble. It’s good practice and improves your ability to make a fake smile look genuine (hence smiling when you don’t feel like it).
Taking care of your body indicates good mental health. Women are generally attracted to sane men (yes, there are exceptions), and your outside is a reflection of your inside. Being healthy and attentive to your outside indicates you are all good on the inside.
My taste? Tall, soft and smooth. My favorite part of a mans body? That place between the shoulder and areola that I rest my head for comfort when he puts his arm around me. That spot is my home. Ok, now I’m craving a cuddle and some bare skin time…my poor AS boyfriend is going to have to dole out some affection...I better check to see where I fall on his checklist of chores...
I don't have a strict standard or ideal. Statistically speaking, most guys who have caught my eye have dark hair, are several inches taller than I am, and are neither skinnny nor all muscled out.
That's the first time I've heard a girl describe my body type as her ideal. Of course, I usually fall short in one department. You'd have to be tiny in order to be "several inches" shorter than me. I'm 5'7".

Wow, did you know you're onto a medical fact here? There was a news article about a clinical study six months ago that reported that men's sweat actually relaxes women. Sounds like a rather bizarre study to pursue, but anyhow, it gives us one more reason not to rush past our ladies from the gym to the shower. Give her a break, guys! She deserves it.

There's a segment of this clip which clearly goes into
the idea of mixing male and female fantasies.
Yes, I know... Quite telling, for those not in the know on how the male versus female mind works. Romance is about sex. That doesn't mean there can't be real love in it, or even as its cause, but...
Sex is like shopping. Guys don't go to the store unless it has something they want. Whereas women often go there just to browse, and will make purchases much less predictably.

Huh. That explains a lot. One of the things I loved about my last boyfriend was how comforting it was just to smell him.
Have to disagree with fivecents on some of the attractions: I don't like a hairless body. I'm not gay. (I don't like a furry body either, though). I don't care as much about clothes on a daily basis, although I do notice if a man has put a little extra effort in. I DON'T want a false smile. If you smile when you're not happy, you're lying. I do agree that cleanliness is important, though: fresh sweat is good, old sweat is bad. Cologne is bad. If you don't smell right without the cologne, you won't smell right with it either.
Likes: medium build, medium height, medium ammount of body hair; a bit of a gut is ok, but soft all over is not. thick dark or red hair, dark eyes. Excellence at *something* is a big turn-on: a graceful martial artist, a brilliant mathematician, whatever. If you excell at it, it's hot. And he should be able to keep up with me when I go a walk, or train in the dojo, or try out kayacking, or whatever. Fetish: pointy canine teeth (not like vampire-pointy: just a little moreso than average).
Turn-offs: Endurance-runner thin or body-builder muscled. Those guys on the cover of 'muscle' mags are just gross. Bad smell. More than a decade older than me. Born-again anything. etc...
^^ fivecents is NT and his tastes is the most common among most women i know . Just comparing her post with your reveals a lot of differences between NTs and ASs when it comes to mating selection.
