the numbers of the study you cite do not disagree with the numbers I cited; I suspect that the difference is that the 0-0.6% figure is in reference to new infections over the course of the study, whereas higher numbers (more in line with the CDC figures) are total figures, including infections extant at the start of the study. Risk, in other words, is additive.
Mainly I just don't want anyone to leave this thread with the idea that HCV is nothing to worry about wrt. unprotected sex with a seropositive partner.
