Thats what I thought I'd try. You never know until you do so :D
I've also wondered what an interent relationship is like too.

I wouldn't recommend that. It's easy to be a friend to someone over the net but to have a dating relationship with someone online is impossible I think.

I always get told I look like I carry the world's problems on my shoulders and I look unfriendly!

Actually I was depressed at one point, but that was after my grandmother died and before I knew I had AS.
Now I've been stressed out, having anxeity attacks, and I guess depression over thing like school and one of my best friends and roommates having had her boyfriend sleeping over. She meant well for him, but it was hurting me and my other roommate. She feels horrible about it.
Both my roommates know I have AS and have been having issues emotionaly and mentaly due to school and what happened.
Goodness, its just hard being 21 and single and school and see other ppl having relationships around you and its tough.
I'm trying and I pray everyday for help and strength and so far God has given it to me, but at times I still feel very weak which is true to our human nature. *Sigh* I thought it would be fun to get a bride magizine to look at and one of my roommates so far has looked at it, but it makes me feel horrid at times knowing that isn't in my near future at this time.

Hi Marie,

Guys are not as difficult to pull as you think. You'd be surprised how many guys would engage you if you approached them at a bookstore or elsewhere. If you see a cute guy reading at a table at a bookstore, just approach.

As for your appearance, you haven't really gone into detail about it, so I can't give you as much advice as I would like to.

Men are actually very simple. "If the guy is not horny, then he is hungry. If he is not hungry then he is horny!"

Ultimately relationships are an exchange of assets between two parties. Essentially men trade resources and their surplus labor in exchange for reproductive capacity/sex from the female.

So much of what the pickup artist community teaches to men is how to keep the exchange balanced out.

My advice may seem crude at times, but I'm just being honest.

Also, you actually have a very good chance of finding someone to marry. Your odds as an aspie girl are far better than an aspie male's odds.

I've been single for about 6 years now.

I would like to maybe be friends with a guy first, then perhaps it could develop into something more.

I like the simple things in life: sitting together just talking music in background, going for a drive to a nice country pub, sharing common interests.

I feel that I have a lot to give and I do get lonely.

I'm like most people, I'd like someone who treats me well, caring, a good listener, and that you can have some fun.

So hopefully I may find someone in the near future.

^It's these types of women that are confusing me. They just want a guy that respects them and just wants to spend time with them, to just enjoy the simple things without any of the overwhelming social atmosphere. Things that I can do just fine. Yet even this type of women doesn't like me...

More than that, they want these things in an individual who seems confident and strong. And, preferably, physically attractive. They also want someone who will flirt with them, and make relationship initiation easier.

If women 'don't like you' then you're either not giving them a chance to like you, or do not display those top-tier qualities. That they want men of solid, strong personality who's physically appealing is a given. If you have all the rest of the goods, per above posts, and it's still insufficient, then obviously you need to focus on the important facets where there is a deficit. Maintain your health, looks, and foster your appreciation of self.

In honesty, I am single but I am enjoying it since I have a reasonable number of female friends. Two female friends in particular are close and good friends and we enjoy it that way at this time. We are like family as we called with each other since we got each other's back and are there for them when they need support. As time goes on with our close and good friendships, maybe feelings will develop and a mutual understanding can be form. Til that time it is good to be single and I am happy as it is.
