No...not originally anyway.

And for the record Grisha, it was not written with you in mind. I know you are looking for someone special in life, not just any woman.

Bless you

Feeling awfully misunderstood lately...

I am sure you are wrong on this point.....

I don't really qualify as just looking for a woman. I'm perfectly content without.

If this fails I'd like to hear about it.

Never tried it so I won't comment on this, though I would have thought that your average AA meeting was a sausage fest.

2. Single mothers:

Single mothers have a hard time getting a date and like men who could be good fathers.

I'm not even thinking about going there until I turn 30 at least.

The plane girl in the T-shirt with no makeup, glasses, and wash and wear hair. A lot of these girls are down to Earth girls who have a higher chance of being on the spectrum and would rather spend their time with more important things than makeup and fashion. There's a higher chance they will turn you down than the others above because a lot of them are asexual but there are ones who aren't, and they get overlooked easily.

I'm not sure I have the same tastes as other men so I'd have a hard time spotting a "Plain Jane."

They just don't get approached as often as thin girls and are usually much more flattered when they do.

Not true! I've tried it, they get very suspicious about your motives in actuality and think you are trying to trick them somehow. They can get very ugly about it.

5. Ugly women:

Let's face it. Some people are just plane ugly. Or at least in need of a makeover. Why not ask them out?

My response to this is a combination of my responses to #3 and #4.

Barf. When I tried Mensa it was awful. A collection of some of the least interesting people I have ever met who were too impressed with themselves to loosen up. If it wasn't about a stereotypically intellectual topic they would proudly announce their ignorance on the matter as if being ignorant on a topic made them sound more intelligent. This applied to the females as well.

I could be wrong on all of my points. Or at least relatively so. I should have put a disclaimer.

*Results may vary.

Then this post does not apply to you obviously.

The ones I've seen (I just went to see a relative's friend speak) had a lot of women. I would say it had a relatively equal distribution of men and women.

Why? Do you think there are not single women under 30?

I gave a description.

This can be true but more so if the guy is particularly handsome.

But again, you aren't looking for a woman.

The question is, will I want him?

There's nothing wrong with it. It is for men who just want a woman period, with no other requirements. I told them venues in which they may have an easier time accomplishing their goal.

That's very true. Especially ballroom dancing. There was a ballroom dancing course at my school. It was all women dancing with women.

spongy, you dunno which ones on the list i meant. but anyways i was just making a point that you can't categorise women that easily - assumptions have been made that a woman in one of those categories is ''any woman'' like she's some kind of leftovers. and... i gotta say... it's not like there's a category of men i wouldn't date, so you're incorrect with that. you don't know my dating experiences or who i went out with in the past. what do you mean by a dose of reality though?

Well Im trully sorry if my previous post upsetted you in some sort of way.

This thread is lacking the other perspective thats true, having said that the main feeling I got from the OP is that if you want to find someone you need to get out more and be at places where you are likelier to meet the person you are looking for and theres some truth behind that.

yes i agree with that, and i said something similar - that people should expand their horizons and think outside of the box.

i wasn't feeling insecure with the post i put in the thread, just using myself as an example. i understand the intent behind the thread (some guys would be well served to stop holding out for a Cambridge-educated supermodel), but at the same time, it is not a positive message to be viewed as categorically less desirable because of interests or life circumstances. there is an implication that the types of women listed are somehow more desperate.

p.s. i wasn't upset at all. "a dose of reality" is pretty much always a negative expression in english. so for example if a person thinks they can win a marathon but have never even jogged in their life, we'd say they need a dose of reality. i didn't think you meant it like that because you don't normally say anything negative in that fashion - you are extremely positive and supportive!! ! that's why i clarified it.

I took some classes of ballroom dancing last year, but I'm very clumsy. My dancing partners didn't seem very happy when it was my turn to dance with them.
