The other day, I opened the door for a woman and she told me to just let it close...that she would get it. Yeah, that's right I was actually nice to a woman, despite this forum's accusations that I'm a misogynist. She in turn treated me like s**t. So to the sisterhood and white knights, how are you going to defend this woman's shameless behavior?

Why did you open it? I'm interested. I once talked to an aspie guy who went on about doing this sort of thing for women, when in reality all he cared about was getting relationships and sex or some sort of positive gratification from women. He told me so.

Would you have opened the door if it was a man struggling? If the answer is no, then you fit the above description.

Also I can't judge whether this woman was actually being rude, or whether she was trying to be polite implying that she didn't want to waste your time standing there. It's impossible to tell without hearing the tone of voice.

Right, because one person's reaction is a condemnation of an entire gender. Not.

Having said that, did you rush from across the room, sweep the door open in dramatic fashion, and then make a big deal out of your assistance? Because that's a different situation. And since we only have your point of view (which I'm inclinded to distrust) regarding this event, I'm not sure anything constructive can be said.

I think the point is nobody knows whether these guys were 'douchebags' or not. In fact, I'd argue that those making the assumption are judging them in the very same way that they complain others are judging them. Self-awareness ftw!

) but i opened the door for a nice looking red head girl at college about a week ago smiled at her and motioned her in and after class she gave me her number(kinda creepy)

i called her, we talked(flirted mostly), but she is not my type and we dont share any of the same interests but it just goes to show u dont hav to be these sterotypes women (and men) often fall for to be attractive

im friends with women who fall head over heels for geeky-nerds, and men who find judgmental crazy women sexy, i also know women who pick men solely based on looks and men who pick solely based on a persons mind

there is no right way this whole relationship thing works
