I'd be surprised if the had bots who send messages of that sort.

The best hack that i could think of would be about dating sites and bots.

1. Create 1000 HTTP capable "chickbots" that can log in/out intermittently.
2. Make a generic presentation creator and make it post the presentation and grab some random girls face of the web.
3. Sit and watch as the clueless men write to the bots, while i was alone to focus on all the real girls

:)

you evil genius! :D

Tea - to a lot of old men who don't really use their brain much a sugar daddy just means an old guy wh manages to score with a young chick.

Here are your options:

-Say no. Many guys would appreciate the reply and not being left out to dry.
-Say yes and risk a but thurt abusive outburst.

It's a gamble and you don't know which way they will swing. Most women find it easier to just ignore them, but if you can handle the jandle of ego dented men, you may want to reply and let them know you're not interested.

Yeah, it's possible this was the case. However, seeing as he mentioned only my pictures and nothing actually written on my profile I think I'll stick to not being interested.

i sent a reply to every single message i received. i felt that people deserved the feedback even if it was negative. i sent longer messages than these, but the gist is like these examples:

"i see that you are only looking for women aged 18 to 24 (or skinny, or tall, or located 400km away, or childless, or christian, or non-feminist, or whatever), yet you messaged me. since i don't fit your criteria, you will not be happy with me."

"your generic message makes me suspect you have not read my profile." (reserved for people who also spammed my dummy profile 8) )

"your message speaks a lot about your requirements, but does not address why you are interested in me at all"

"your profile is empty"

"you haven't answered any match questions"

"we are 3% match/1% friends/89% enemies. i am pretty sure we would kill each other"

"you have stated that all you want is casual sex, and that is not what i am looking for"

to be fair, in the period i was on the dating sites, the messages i received only numbered in the hundreds, not thousands. so perhaps i had the leisure to answer when women in a more desirable demographic do not.

Those are gold, hyperlexian. I'm afraid I can be quite dismissive when I'm disinterested in someone. My messages telling people I'm not interested usually read more like "I'm not interested" or "I'd rather not"... depending on what they said to me.

Note that these were all on non-dating sites.

I've got messages like "wanna hook up?"

Yeah, lots of guys on there just looking for a fling :)

how on earth do you all manage to sort through all those people and find someone suitable who you like and are liked by. and then continuously go through the arduous process of getting to know/impress people & work out if they are genuine; until you a) realise it wont work or b) have to arrange to meet an online love interest in the real world, which is quite frankly terrifying. it sounds like energy draining torture to me D:

hats off to you all

"Energy draining torture" is an amazingly accurate assessment.

Another description of the process might be "pointless stupidity." (My experience.)

To break it down a little, using your description:

1. I have never met anyone suitable.

2. Anyone I might have any possibility of liking is inevitably 897,000 miles away.

3. Anyone who likes me is a 48-year-old single alcoholic mother with 3+ kids.

4. Getting to know people on line is difficult when their entire profile consists of "I don't know what to write here."

5. Most people on dating sites, if one were to go by their profiles, are slightly less interesting than dryer lint.

6. "Genuine" people are invariably mainstream to the point of suffocation.

7. I already know it's not going to work because my relationships only last until my gf starts trying to change me into Ward Cleaver, which process she will initiate exactly 90 days after the start of the relationship.

8. Finding a compatible person on a dating site is slightly less likely than finding a giant hydrogen atom that speaks Greek and can play softball in a zero-gravity environment.

I'm beginning to think that, too. I really don't like wasting my time talking to people with zero potential.

i read this as ward cleaner.

why is finding someone on there "less likely than finding a giant hydrogen atom that speaks Greek and can play softball in a zero-gravity environment"? surely having hundreds of people in one place, who all want to date, and all give a brief outline of themselves, would make it easier than finding someone elsewhere. this maketh no sense to me

it sounds like one of those things that really should work but just...doesn't?
