Instead, you are now busy painting a picture of your dad's girlfriend as a horrible human being.

It's just reading like you trying to create a case for something that's not even realistic, so far as I can see.

He tends to start threads as a monologue about his thoughts or memories of his younger years, then if he contributes any further it is very basic or yet another monologue. I don't think he's particularly interested in or mentally capable of responding to anything anyone has to say unless it helps him achieve what he wants or confirms his biases. There's nothing inherently wrong with being this way (nor can it necessarily be helped), but it doesn't make it any less frustrating for the readers and correspondents.
