Useless is the wrong word. It's more like I've been very unlucky. Most people I've dated have been jerks in one way or another.

I think I've had trouble perceiving interest. Looking back, I think there were at least a couple opportunities with decent people I missed. I've not thought that people liked me unless they were lovebombing me. That's no longer the case now. I just think that it was a factor in the past due to my weird, sheltered upbringing and low self-esteem.

Yeah, I am sure you could get someone reasonable. You seem intelligent and good looking.

Self-esteem issues can be very troublesome.

It's not necessarily self-esteem, TP.
Remind yourself that you have CPTSD and that makes it very hard to trust anyone.
It also makes you a magnet for aholes, especially when combined with your ASD.
You'll find the right partner.
I'm sure they'd be astounded to know there was someone like you still single.
