Told her abt my atheism (and it was much harder than expected, i was too hesitant for a good reason), from her reaction I can tell it won't work.

Who was I kidding? A muslim never tolerates an atheist, never.

Bummer. And you guys were getting along so great! But at least you know now, instead of getting both your hopes up and then telling her later. If I remember well you had other prospects, so at least you can pursue them more freely. I won't tell you to cheer up and smile because seriously, that sucks :P. But in my opinion it was the smart thing to do, there was the possibility that she wouldn't have minded and then you would have that weight out of your mind, and I reiterate that it's better that it happens now than later in the relationship. Smart choice.

It's okay. At least you found out that it won't work out because of religion early on in the relationship, instead of years later. Just look at Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise

Seriously, though, sorry to hear that, it was going so well before.

Today is the first day of Ramadan month too (fasting month), the "Islam spirit" is usually very high among Muslims in this month.

She's texting me this morning as if nothing happened, now I am totally confused.

A long silence.... a sudden paling face, as if someone just died.

Perhaps she doesn't want to lose a friend due to religious differences... or perhaps it doesn't bother her as you perceive? We're all human regardless of what religious beliefs we have.

She's asking me questions that evolution explain them yet she doesn't have the least understanding of evolution.

and she's asking me questions that neither science nor religion have the answers lol.

You know? In your position I'd be very flattered, there is nothing I like more than someone eager to know my point of view and my explanations on something. At least she's curious~

Are you okay with dating someone with different religious beliefs as you?

Of course, but I can't pretend agreeing on something while I don't.

and oh, Muslims don't date in Ramadan months -__- .

The good thing she made it clear that she doesn't want to make me convert back to Islam.
