Not necessarily, WantToHaveALife. I'm in several relationships and I have only a little money coming in, all they care about is that I love them and will support them all I can. :3

Depends on the women. I've dated plenty and all were cool with my situation (living at my parents place while I was already in my late 20's). That wasn't the issue why these relationships failed eventually.

Some are fussy about it and feel you're not dependent enough, but one might wonder if these women are even a good match for you if they expect you to be something you're not. Afterall, your living situation, and the lack of a car are the products of whatever direction your life led you. If they can't be cool and openminded about that, you could also expect more issues in the future about other things.

Obviously, the issue might arise if there's any possibility for you to get your s**t together... but that depends on how you feel about it yourself.

I shall refrain from making any comments on that, lol

I do keep to my notion that it depends on the women. I've met women who liked dating me and didn't care about the shambles my life was in.

ya i'll agree with that, this has also been on my mind too, if us guys were not so damn pressured to have/get our lives together, s**t together, be the provider, then being the initiator I would not be resentful about as much

sadly true. though for me it leads to depression rather then resent. hardly women's fault that my worthless self was born. perhaps if the people in power just killed all the worthless men it would be easier .

Which in turn makes me wonder if worthlessness and poor self-worthy isn't beneficial to more areas besides just dating and worth trying to overcome and make something out of life with out without the prospect of dating.

My stance is pretty much that you're as worthless as you let others perceive you. You're not worthless on your own but you might feel that way because others make you feel that way, either by actively pointing it out or you observing what you do and don't have and thus it becomes a passive thing from them cause you compare yourself to someone you perceive as "better than you".

Moral of the story; overcoming this feeling of worthlessness helps one in more areas than just dating. (and yes, I'm well aware that depression and whatnot can be crippling and I surely don't perceive that lightly at all).

over a year ago I went into dating again hopeful and feeling like I was good and could make someone happy and such. but year and a half of being told you're worthless and ugly just seems to build up that idea. add never getting good things and its just depressing.

Who told you this? the one you were dating? Don't blame the bad apples for it; they might even be out to mess with your head (as I've experienced) or not even know what they're doing.

If I were to blame a single bad apple from the past I could never get a job, because I had one terribly bad supervisor once... I'm cautious, but I'm trying to not limit myself at least.

no the ones I dated are always like you're great guy, you're find someone. its the tons and tons who rejected me who said I'm unattractive or worthless cause I lack a good paying job.

To me that says more about them than it would say about you... but then again, you could focus on the positive and people saying you're a great guy. I always tell myself I'm awesome and I had confirmation from it in past relationships... didn't have a bad day with poor self-esteem for years. Now that I'm single... I just assume that I"m not for everyone. Which still doesn't make me a bad guy, lol

don't have people tell me good stuff often and never had a relationship. so most of what I get is all bad stuff and in the blue moon I get good stuff it just feels wrong like its a lie.

like today at the store some lady walked by me and smiled. I don't get while. also makes me feel strange when people say sorry for bumping me or say hi sir to me. o.O

In some cases it's true anyway, sadly. People obviously feel the need to polite and will sometimes lie to please other's. They might say 'sorry' because it's common courtesy to, not because they actually care about you. I always found politeness to be very fake feeling, almost manipulative...
