it is guaranteed that me and a right-winger would not get along in the least, even if they looked like Marilyn Monroe and I looked like Brad Pitt. I honestly don't grok how mary matalin and james Carville get along.

And neurodiversity includes both introverts AND extroverts (including NTs).

I do find a lot of Aspie men don't like to talk much UNLESS you're talking about something they are extremely interested in.

I have that problem with my wife.

She likes to gab about things.

I'm not really interested in how much a sponge cost at a 99-cent store when I'm listening to an old ballgame on YouTube. At these times, she thinks I'm "unsociable."

I was under the impression that the #1 rule of happy marriages is to be willing to humor the other partner.

I don't recall that referendum

That's because it's not factual :P .
Neurodiversity has no correlation to introversion.

OK, and can you back that claim up with published evidence?

Can you? All you cited was an online poll, which might be useful to an individual trying to understand their behavior, but as a source for statistics that's so unreliable it's not even funny. What articles have you peer reviewed? I trust the DSM V more. Also you don't even think you could get a diagnosis for ASD, so why do you think you can really understand the behavior and speak about it on our behalf other than anecdotal evidence?

That's small talk, Mr. K. Something very necessary with NT women. That's when you nod a lot and say "uh huh, and then what happened?" You gotta make eye contact a couple times, too. It doesn't count if you say it while watching TV.

LOL...I do that sometimes!

I do the "uh uh" thing. And I'll talk about how much something cost at the supermarket to keep her interested....but, in my mind, I just want to get back to my ballgame.

I do make an effort, believe it nor not

But I really need to watch that ballgame!

You wanna know what she said that really pissed me off?

She asked me: "Why can't you think like normal people?"

These are the moments when I feel like I just want to pack it in.

She got upset with me because I noticed that early 19th century people were wearing late 19th century clothing within this movie we were watching.

But my wife is okay. We have both benefitted from our friendship.

It's just that she doesn't seek to try to understand me.

if I have learned one thing in this life, it is that some people are beyond my understanding. and also, some people simply cannot grok me no matter how hard I diagram it for them.

Both of those are important to me, don't think one without the other would be enough to keep me around....thus I am unable to vote for one or the other in the poll.

AFAIC, this poll has designed-in futility- one might as will offer a choice of "eating" or "eliminating."

You might try to read what I write instead of continuing to ramble.

Ha, I do the exact same thing! I drive people crazy! I will talk about how the movie/tv show is inaccurate and pick apart the costumes, accuracy of the plotlines, how certain terms are misused, everything. Nobody wants to hear it, lol.

But I won't just mention one thing like you did. I will just find one thing after another that's wrong. What you said doesn't seem annoying to me. I would be pissed if someone asked me why I don't think like "normal people."

To me, both are important.

But how does one convey the need to be sexually compatible with someone without the other people thinking it's all they want?

And if the partner decides that they are not compatible in that way, refuse to do certain positions/fetishes, and the other one leaves, does that mean the one who left was a user who was only after one thing?
