What do you think of women with tattoos?

to each his or her own. but I think implants are grotesque. people are getting things put under their skin so it looks like they are some other kinda bumpy human.

I would say it's a case of making ones self practically unemployable in many fields, including most management level jobs: I consider that a foolish risk I would not want to be a part of. That's not even mentioning that where I live young tattoo free women are almost in the minority: I hardly see how that is rebellious and if anything it is a sign of someone who is a sheep and follows the herd.

I've got three tattoos, and they've never been an issue. I've always taken great care in placement of them so they can easily be covered, and my piercings are simply two unique cartilage piecings (rook on one side, conch on the other), as well as a tiny nose ring. As long as you confine the tattoos away from the face and hands and keep your piercings to one or two, most employers don't care. I even worked at a children's book and toy store when I had my tongue pierced. My bosses said nothing, and neither did any customers.

Tattoos are becoming so common that people barely notice them anymore, and its rare for people to actually have judgements of them. All kinds of people have tattoos, and most people know this and therefore tattoos are no longer a societal benchmark of one's comportment.

The majority of female porn stars have tattoos so because of that I kind of feel like they appear trashy.

I guess I don't mind a few as long as long as they're not too visible or vulgar, or she doesn't flaunt them (most girls with tattoos I know are proud of them and have to tell everyone about them and even judge those who don't have any). Same with piercings. Also, I find piercings and tattoos often go together with depressed girls who cut their wrists.

I personally have no problem with women who have tattoos, same with men. I think it's cool and adds that sort of exoticness "almost non-human" aspect to people which is what I really adore. It's the same with piercings. I just find that kind of stuff attractive on a person.

I have thought about getting a tattoo in the past. Something maybe resembling my beliefs or something.

To each there own.
It can be a turn on to some and to some not.
Me personally, it can be cute. It can convey toughness, a rebel attittude, a wirdeness or a wanting of being uniqueness.

It can be over done though, mark my words.

In that case employed women must be in the minority where you live.

It's the same in Australia. Young women and middle aged women most often have tattoos. Among young men they're not as popular. I see half as many men with tattoos compared to women.

The thing that amazes me is that many of these young men and women have good jobs. I see many tattoos prominently displayed at work every day. The office I work in is full of them. Apparently their tattoos didn't make them unemployable. At least not in Australia, it would seem.

I don't think they're even trying to rebel. Tattoos are too mainstream to be rebellious nowadays. I'm still not into them. There are few things I'm more fond of then smooth, unmarred skin.

I just can't see myself getting a permanent tattoo (or even a temporary one).

I just don't like the idea of inserting ink into my body.

I wouldn't say that but I would say young people are underemployed at a very alarming rate.

Where I work, most women got them years after they were hired. I'm not aware of anyone being hired with a visible tattoo, male or female.


Ditto: I will add that any boy in the early 90s who had a left earring was someone I probably would not get along with. Tattoos (especially on women) are the definition of mainstream "non-conformist" conformity.

It is a mystery to me why tattoos are more popular with women than men.

It's because they can be flirty, as in you can cover them or allow part of them to show, hinting but not showing, depending on what you are wearing. At least that's how it was explained to me by NT females when I asked.
